"i'm happy we could all gather together today. we can't let this get more out of hand." dumbledore hums calmly as he looks around at all the people gathered in the room. katherine had been pleasantly surprised as sirius had handed her the letter inviting her to this meeting. "but first i'd like to welcome our new members."

"you know what i love about this? let me tell you what i love about this." hagrid says as he looks at the younger witches and wizards, who seem amused by him. "we have another black who chose to go against his family and an avery! i think this just shows how bloody foolish those people are."

"yes. it does hagrid. but now, i believe it's important that we discuss the prophecy." dumbledore says, making everyone look at him curiously. "sybill will you tell the members exactly what you told me?"

"right, of course. the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the dark lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the dark lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord will be born as the seventh month dies...." sybill trelawney trails off, making katherine frown in confusion.

"what the bloody hell does that mean?" alastor moody asks in confusion, making dumbledore sigh.

"it means that a child, this year at the end of july will be born. that child's parents will have defied voldemort three times. and the the child will either perish or defeat voldemort." dumbledore explains and katherine gapes at him.

"but it's only a child. it shouldn't have to defeat someone like the dark lord." katherine speaks up, making everyone turn to look at her and dumbledore nods in agreement with a sigh.

"i agree, katherine. but that's the prophecy. and if i'm correct, alice longbottom and lily potter are due to give birth in august." dumbledore announce and katherine goes pale as she looks at lily, who has turned just as pale.

"but we haven't defied the dark lord thrice." james says, sounding clearly panicked. it doesn't take long for katherine to realise that james was wrong.

"but you have. sirius and katherine are proof of you defying him twice. you defied him by helping them runaway." dumbledore says, before taking a deep breath. "and also by simply fighting against him. longbottom, you have caught a number of death eaters, meaning you've defied him too. thrice."

"i don't like this. the unborn children shouldn't be put into a battle that we can stop." hagrid says in annoyance, making dumbledore wave at him in a way of telling him to calm down.

"i know. but it is the prophecy and if it says so. we have no choice. it will happen. we will continue to fight voldemort in hopes we can avoid the prophecy." dumbledore says and sirius huffs as he crosses his arms over his chest.

"you can't seriously think i'll let that monster come near my friends and their child? i'll die before that happens." sirius states firmly as he sits up, making katherine nod in agreement.

"me too."

"make that three of us." remus says and dumbledore smiles softly, while mcgonagall can't help but feel proud to see her former students standing up for each other.

"i know. and it is important for the order to protect the potter, longbottom and their unborn children. as far as we know, voldemort is unaware of the prophecy. which means he will not directly try harm you." dumbledore says, making katherine relax slightly. "i just believe it was something you should know."
