"woah. what happened to your hair?" katherine asks regulus, as he stomps his way into her shared room. emma looks up from her side of the room and her eyes widen in shock at the sight of regulus. he had neon green hair and katherine's eyes spark in amusement.

"my brother and his stupid friends, that's what happened." he huffs, as he sits on the bed and emma joins them on katherine's bed.

"it suits you. at least it's the house colour. imagine if it was red." emma says with wide eyes and regulus glares at her, and it was clear that she wasn't helping him feel better.

"i'd rather have my natural hair colour to begin with, emma." he huffs and katherine chuckles as she pulls out her wand, before casting a spell to change his hair back to normal. "thank you, katherine."

"my pleasure, black. how did it happen?" she asks and he sighs as he remembers the incident.

"it all started when i was walking the halls of hogwarts." regulus starts dramatically, making both girls groan in annoyance and emma uses a pillow to hit him right in the face. he chuckles as he pushes the pillow away. "and they just ambushed me."

"wow. great. what a lovely story, regulus." emma rolls her eyes at him, although a slightly amused smile stretches on her lips. "okay, serious question. what's up with severus?"

"honestly? i don't know." katherine sighs as she shrugs. severus had been spending less time with them, been colder and focusing a lot more on his studies, disappearing at random times even.

"you guys used to be the golden trio of the slytherin house." emma points out.

"yeah. well. he's been more focused on being a good death eater, rather than a good a friend. it really just started when he joined." regulus sighs and katherine looks down sadly. she was slightly worried that regulus would also prioritise being a death eater over their friendship, and he seems to notice her worry. "i hope i don't turn into him."

"you really don't want to become one?" emma asks in wonder and katherine looks up, nodding in confirmation.

"i don't think we should hate muggle borns, just because of something out of their control. they never chose to be born in a muggle family." katherine points out and emma sighs as she looks up at the ceiling. "are you going to become one?"

"i mean, it's what my parents want. so i'll have no choice but to join." emma shrugs nonchalantly and katherine smiles sadly. that's what she worried the most, since she hadn't told her father or brother of her choice not to become a death eater. both her brother and father were notorious death eaters, making it seem natural for her to become one as well.

"yeah. i guess eventually i'll have to become one." katherine sighs sadly, before shaking her head. "okay, let's not be so sad about things. how is the plan working out?"

"great, so far. i send my mother an owl. asking her to send me some pictures. i told her i'm feeling nostalgic and missing the good old days. fortunately even though my parents disowned him, they still have pictures. so they'll send one or two soon." regulus says, making katherine nod approvingly and look at emma.

"so, they're all going to the match. james is playing, so they'll be there to support him. also something about celebrating after if james wins, so even after the game they might not be back." emma says, making katherine grin as the plan starts to fall into place.

"okay, just a few more days. regulus. i think you'll go to the game. we can't have both of us miss it. they'll suspect something. they're unaware that emma is in on it, so she'll help me set everything up. sounds like a plan?" katherine asks and they grin as they nod in agreement.
