if regulus could describe the last two days since they had gotten back from the meeting in one word, it would be horrid. his bad feeling had been proven right as he discovered that severus and emma had spiked katherine's water with amorentia, causing her to suddenly be madly in love with severus. which in his opinion, was by far the most disgusting thing ever. since then, katherine had been all over severus, more willing to be a death eater than before, as she was so blinded by the potion. severus hated this just as much as regulus did, but he believed it was the only way to assure katherine's loyalty to the dark lord.

"hey, guys." katherine greets them with a wide grin, and regulus looks up at her with a forced smile. he had never hated her as much as he did right now. "what are you up to?"

"nothing. you?" severus asks her and she shrugs. regulus pokes at his food in a discouraged manner. things couldn't have gotten worse and everytime he tried to tell her, that she was under a potion she'd get mad at him.

"i'm on my way to the library, i just wanted to stop by and say hi." katherine smiles and regulus rolls his eyes at her. severus forces a smile. "anyway, i'll see you later then."

"yup. see you." severus hums as she leans down and kisses his cheek, before walking away. regulus glances over his shoulder at the gryffindor table and notices the marauders look in their direction in shock. he may not be the closest to his brother, but he could see the look of heartbreak in his eyes. regulus winces, before he turns back around. "i hate this. i can't wait until we graduate and we can assure that she never sees those gryffindors instead of this."

"it's working. that's all that matters." emma muses, as she looks up from her book, putting her quill down.

"and you're playing with fire. the moment she realises the truth, you'll regret having ever thought of that idea." regulus snarls, making the two look at him with a scoff and shake their head.

"she won't find out the truth. she drank too much of the potion for her to ever not be obsessed with severus." emma points out, and regulus scoffs. he drops his fork and stands up, before walking away angrily. he slows down as he passes the marauders and hesitates to stop, but does and turns to face them.

"amorentia. if you know anyway to reverse the effects of that potion. do it. for her sake." regulus says to them and they look at him in confusion.

"are you saying she's under the effects of a love potion?" lily asks, making him nod in confirmation, glancing at severus and emma, who are too busy being proud that their plan is working to realise what he's doing. "that means severus must have spiked her drink."

"i'll murder the bastard." sirius snarls and is about to stand up, but james pulls him back down.

"i wouldn't do it in the great hall, brother. but if you do it outside, i'll help." regulus says, before taking a breath. "anyway, i should go. before i get in trouble for talking to you guys."

"thanks for telling us." remus says, making regulus nod, before walking away. he hopes deep down that they would figure a way to get her out of this delusion, before things got way out of hand.
