Episode Description:
A bright-eyed American au pair hopes to make a difference caring for two orphans in a grand English manor. Yet the feeling of dread is undeniable

EPISODE DESCRIPTION (my notes)

- Creepy soundtrack at the beginning.
- Narrator speaks of her and her love.
- It starts they are in Northern California and it is in 2007.
- She is attending a rehearsal dinner
- When everyone was drinking wine she tells a ghost story
- The story takes place in London in 1987
- A teacher (Dani) goes to London and applies for a job as a au pair.
- She's been in London for 6 months and she is a 4th grade teacher
- The orphans uncle Henry interviews Dani and talks about his niece and nephew Flora and Miles they were sent home from boarding school for reasons not mentioned yet and their parents died a while back.
- Henry mentions that the kids will be her full responsibility but there will be a housekeeper, chef and other people around the manor
- Dani goes to a bar and sees Henry comes in and goes to ask in him if she got the job
- He talks of the previous au pair she died on the grounds of Bly Manor grounds.
- She gets the job and Owen the chef and part time driver of Bly Manor comes to fetch her to take her to the manor
- She meets Flora singing by the lake , meets Miles and Ms Hannah Grose by the trees
- Flora shows her around the houses and her favourite adjective to describe everything is splendid
- Their parents room is covered up and no one goes in there
- Miles gives Dani a butterfly clip and a welcome gift
- Flora gets mad when she sees the butterfly clip in Dani's hair because it belongs to Ms Jessel ( the previous au pair) then gets over it
- Dani wipes the steam off the window mirror because she saw a black shadow behind her
- Bedtime for Flora , Dani picks up a doll under her dresser , the doll has no eyes , Flora say that the doll stays where she found it
- Flora asks Dani to stay in her room at night till the morning
- Dani couldn't sleep and got up and walked around the house in the dark , she made herself tea she heard noises and went to investigate,the tea boiled and that distracted her
- When she goes back to her bed a figure in a black cloak watched her
- The next morning Dani takes Flora and Miles for a walk
- Flora get mad at Dani for leaving her room in the middle of the night
- Going back to Bly Manor Dani sees a man standing by the balcony and waves he has no response then he disappeared
- Dani goes to the old wing and where the man from earlier was standing and found a doll
- She goes around the garden to a church and finds Hannah Grose and shows her the doll and she said that it's Flora's coping mechanism
- Rebecca Jessel (their other au pair ) committed suicide in the lake and Flora found her
- Bedtime Dani accidentally stepped on the doll from the night before , Miles and Flora trick Dani into going to the closet then close the door and lock it , she is claustrophobic.
- She sees the dark figure in the mirror and panics
- They open the door a while later
- On her way back to her bedroom she sees footprints on the floor and follows it outside and the door was open
- When she was in the garden she looked up and saw Flora and Miles staring at her from their window.

MY PERSONAL OPINION:

I personally think that the Haunting of Bly Manor is a promising TV shows that can be amazing it has a solid foundation for interesting things to happen
