SOME MONTHS LATER

Kamil and Yusuf  indulged in an intense eye contact
As if it was some staring contest

Sumayyah shrugged when i mouthed
"it's awkward"

"You are a good writer"Yusuf said robotically breaking the staring contest

"You are a good poet"Kamil said with the same robotic tone

"Okay her husband and my husband to be,this was supposed to be a double date.let go of old grudges
Besides Yusuf has successfully finished with school,it's double celebration"Sumayyah said trying to get them out of the whole scenario

Turns out Yusuf and Sumayyah are getting along a lot better than before and they have reached the I love you

"Thank you for loving her the right way"Yusuf said smiling

They shake hands like they just signed an agreement
Sumayyah rolled her eyes at their drama
And I cleared my throat

An hour later,Yusuf and Kamil are watching football match highlights on his phone and doing high fives

"Wow look at our boys!"she exclaimed like a proud mother wiping invisible tears

I chuckled showing her a baby carrier

"I will miss his moody head"she whispered

"Chill you are marrying after his masters"i whispered back after a nudge

After we ate,i hugged Sumayyah bye and handed a gift box to Yusuf

"Till we meet again"Yusuf said smiling like he is saying goodbye to a long lost friend

"Yeah at your wedding in sha Allah"Kamil said tapping him softly

And we parted ways

"Wait!"Kamil exclaimed dramatically when i was about to enter the car

"Now sit"he said after adjusting the throw pillow and i shook my head

"Nothing will happen to our child if i sit without a pillow"i said slightly annoyed because he is over doing it

"But your back aches"he reasoned and it's true ever since the baby reached three months i couldn't sit without pillow where ever i was
Even lecture halls

"Stop making it obvious I'm pregnant,it's not showing for a reason"I scolded
Says a lady that carries throw pillow to lecture halls,i was expecting him to say but instead he apologized
"Oh no baby,I'm sorry.just excited"

"Thank you for being my ease"i said after I regained my sense
With the biggest smile showing i appreciate his love
His care and support
