Ritual Night

Calla's POV

" Your crazy... No your insane! I am not wearing that!" I looked at the white almost sheer dress in front of me. Virva decided to make our dresses. Her dress was this ankle long dress that was off the shoulders. It was simple. Which worked for Virva, she was a simple girl and never really liked showing off her curves so this dress hide them pretty well. Meanwhile my dress was about shin high, and the material she used was so thin it was almost see through. And not to mention the fact she decided to make it tight around my waist showing my hourglass figure but it also pushed my boobs up. Virva spoke as she let her hair down from here braids. " You will look beautiful in it trust me. And I am sure its gonna get a certain male's attention." She wiggled her eyebrows as she was hinting about Luca. I roll my eyes. She was right Luca wouldn't be able to take his eyes off me. Taking my clothes off I slide the dress on. Virva braided my hair into a braid crown and against my wishes put flowers in it. Virva spoke as we took a finally look at each other " Luca is gonna be on his knees begging for you." I couldn't help but smile Luca seemed like a good guy and was a good warrior. What's the worst that could happen?

Ren's POV

After the fight yesterday I had avoided Calla all day today incase she realized I was trying to kiss her. Hunt seemed to be the only person so far to notice the moment and had teased me all day. " How is that the next clan leader is scared to claim his girl?" He laughs and I playful punch his arm as we walk over to the giant bonfire in the middle of the village. It was ritual night where any female in all the clans could make a move on the warrior they wanted.  Hunt already knew Virva was going to make her move. " One she isn't my girl! Two she is my best friend its complicated. Three you know she doesn't participate in this thing." We sit on a bench and one of the older ladies hands us some beer. The ritual should take place any minute now. It was a beautiful night for the ritual. All the stars were bright shining their best. And the moon was full and looked down on us. Hunt watched me take a drink of my beer a nervous look on my face. As I drink looking  at him " ..Umm.. Actually Calla is doing this with Virva... Rumor is she is doing it for L-Luca..." His voice trails off and I spit out my beer. I can't believe this! " Why in the hell am I just finding out about this?!?!" Before Hunt could give me an answer the ritual horn was blown and all the warriors found their seats. Luca was sitting across from us on the other side of the fire. I continued to drink my beer. The rumors are wrong. Calla isn't the type to do this. She would never do this! 

Calla's POV

 The horn was blown and everyone had taken their seats. All the girls who were participating gathered around the fire. The drums started their hypnotic beat. Taking a deep breath. I grabbed Virva's hand and we danced the ritual dance. I blushed as we danced because well the dance is provocative. It included two girls leaning over each other shaking their chest and swaying their hips. Vikings were horny little pervs when it came to dancing. Virva had her eyes locked on Hunt. I look over to Luca and he is just staring at me. His eyes were big and filled with lust. I saw him quickly adjust a bulge in his pants and a smile grew on my face.  Nice to know I have that effect on you, Luca. I look away for a moment and out the corner of my eye I see Ren drinking excessively. I don't see why his not enjoying this. Almost all the girls here were going after him, and Zena was no where to be found. Maybe he is mad about our fight yesterday. 

The music ends and all the girls who were dancing go over to their intended lover. Giving them a flower. If the warrior accepted the flower they were seen as a couple. If the flower was given back... well rejection. Virva practically sprinted over to Hunt giving him sunflower. He accepted. A group of girls went to Ren sticking their flower out for him to grab. All of them hoping their flower would be picked. Ren crushed all of their hopes and simply got up and walked away headed towards the dock. Well I guess it is now or never. I walk over to Luca and I pull a flower out of my hair and hands it to him. I couldn't find any words to say so I said nothing instead. Taking a  mere second to think  Luca grabbed the flower. Instead of saying anything he leaned down and kissed me. It wasn't a rough or passionate kiss, but a kiss of promise. I kissed him back and pulled away blushing.

" Come with me?" Luca says breaking the silence between us. His words took me a minute to process .  Come with him? Where? He seriously doesn't think I would fuck him in the woods or something? Or does he mean... " You mean to.. Redkin?" He nods and smiles before speaking " I know you don't know me that well. But I promise you will enjoy getting to know me. And if you don't or want to leave at anytime for any reason I won't stop you. Just give me a chance to worship you. I promise you won't regret it." I bite my lip as he spoke. This was a huge decision. I would be leaving my clan for possibly another. But isn't this a good thing? Luca could be the one for me, but in order to find out I would have to give him a chance. Looking up at those sweet soft brown eyes " I am expecting a temple in my honor." I smile and he crashes his lips onto mine. 

Ren's POV

I had to leave after seeing Calla dance. She was so beautiful. She could have any guy she wanted, but she didn't want me. Watching her dance for Luca broke my heart and I couldn't watch to see what I knew was to come. Him accepting her flower. It could have been me if I had just kissed her. Or if I had just realized my feelings sooner. Instead I have to fake happiness and watch my best friend fall in love.  Calla you may be my best friend, but I am afraid you may be my only love. A tear escaped my eye and ran down my cheek before falling to the ground. " Calla.. I love you."
