Little Dragon ; Fred Weasley

Chapter 19

Fred caught you before you could fall. You looked up at him and he could see the exhaustion on your face. He noticed the dark circles under your eyes and your cracked lips. 'Hello love,' he said softly as he held you up. You couldn't say anything, all your emotions were threatening to come up. When he helped you stand to your feet, you just rested your head on his chest. 'I'm sorry, i'm so sorry,' you said into his chest. He didn't say anything. He just wrapped his arms around and you held you close to him, both of you just taking in each other. 'Come on let's get you something to eat,' he said grabbing your hand and leading you into the Great Hall.

You didn't realize how hungry you were until you sat down. Fred made two first year Slytherins move off the end of the table so you both could sit. As soon as you sat down you immediately began eating and drinking. Fred just watched you. You notice and then suddenly stopped. 'NO NO EAT,' he said pushing your plate closer to you. You just giggled slightly, causing him to smile. 'The last task is today,' you said to him with a mouthful of food. 'You'll be okay, trust me,' he said taking your hand. He rubbed his thumb over it slightly. 'About the other night'- you began saying but Fred cut you off, ' We don't have to talk about it.' You looked up at him, 'Just know you didn't do anything wrong, it's just me.' He just nodded and held your hand tighter.

The rest of the day the boys would not leave you alone. They wouldn't let anyone that wasn't them come close to you. They kept asking what was wrong, but you just told them you were really nervous about the final task. The wasn't a total lie because you were starting to freak out about it.

Snape was the one going to walk you out in front of everyone. He informed you into was going to be a maze and the first people to touch the goblet would win. Since you came in first place with the second challenge, you would be able to go first.

You were the last one to make your way into the view of the stands. Everyone started cheering, especially the Slytherins. They would always make it known that they were proud and wanted you to do good. You looked and saw the whole Weasley family there, Molly was especially cheering for you and Harry. You saw her and jumped up and waved, causing a smack in the head from Snape. You noticed Fred saw and he couldn't stop laughing.

Dumbledore made his announcement before the task like every other time, but you couldn't hear it over your heartbeat. Then the bush opened, and you were off.

You started running, trying to get this over with. You could hear people behind you, causing you to run faster. Victor came out from the other side, aiming to hit you. You quickly ducked and shot a stunning spell at him. You ran as fast as you could away, not seeing what was happening to him.

You ran what felt like hours. You suddenly heard more people talking so you ran. Cedric and Harry were running towards it. Firing spells back and forth at each other. Harry caught a glimpse of you and shot a spell at you. 'Fuck you Potter,' you yelled while getting back up. Harry went to save Cedric from the maze grabbing him. You overheard them talking about them getting it at the same time. You needed to win, you needed this for yourself. You saw them moving, so you dove onto the Goblet, taking all 3 of you to a different place.

'Holy shit Harry get up,' you whispered shaking him. He woke up and looked around with you. Cedric was still passed out, you tired waking him up, but he didn't budge. The two of you stood up, leading to spells getting shot with spells. You both ducked, but one caught Harry. He now was held up by a grim reaper grace stone, and you laid on the ground trying to stay hidden. You couldn't hear what they were saying, but you saw Harry get cut and the weird man threw something in a caldron. All of a sudden, a man was forming from the containment's. It was him. Voldemort. He was distracted with Harry you shot a charm at Cedric waking him up. He woke up confused and you had to explain as much as you could in the little time. You stood up and sprinted across the path. You casted 'Finistra!' causing the earth beneath Voldemort to explode. Him and the death eaters fell to the ground. Harry quickly got out and ran over to you. Voldemort caught sight of Cedric first and then all could be heard was you screaming.

'NO CEDRIC NO,' you screamed with tears filling your eyes. Cedric flew across the field, now laying lifeless. Harry had to hold you back from getting to him. 'Who is that Harry?' Voldemort asked now rushing up to the two of you. He grabbed your throat and held you in the air. 'How remarkable,' Voldemort whispered as he gripped your throat tighter. You were trying to get out but then you made eye contact with him. 'It can't be,' he said letting you go. You dropped to the ground gasping for air. Voldemort's attention was quickly grabbed by harry. You had to lay there, stunned while they battled each other. Harry got away and ran over to you. 'Grab Cedric. When you have a hold onto him grab my hand and we'll leave!' you yelled. Harry did what you said and grabbed your hand. You reached over and grabbed the Goblet and now you were in a new place.

Music filled your ears as you stood with the Goblet in your hand. You looked and all the banners went green. They counted you as the winner since the Goblet was in your hand. You looked over to harry with tears falling from your eyes. He was spread across his chest sobbing. You looked to the stands and made eye contact with Fred. He quickly rushed over to you. 'He told me to bring his body back. He's back. Voldemort is back,' Harry said while sobbing. Everyone is the stands went crazy, started shouting, and ran out. Fred came up behind you and took the Goblet out of your hand. 'We need to get you out of here,' he whispered in your ear, then took your hand. He walked you to your room, following behind and shutting the door.

Fred walked over to you and pulled you into a tight hug. You instantly started crying. 'He's really back, He's back, He's going to come after me,' you said into his chest through tears. He didn't say anything. He just pulled you closer. He laid with you on the bed, rubbing your back to calm you down. You and him quickly fell asleep.

A slight knock on your door made you jump awake. Carefully you got up out of Fred's arms to not wake him. You grabbed your wand and quickly opened the door.  Dumbledore didn't even look phased that you had your wand to him. '(y/n), you do know it is against the rules for boys and girls to stay together,' he said with a slight smile gesturing to Fred.  'I couldn't be alone,' you said lowering your wand. 'I understand. But that is not the reason why I'm here. We need to take you to the place you are going to be staying for the summer, and we have to do it right now,' he said looking at his stop watch, 'Oh and the winnings from the tournament,' he added handing you a charmed bag full of what seemed like endless money. 'Oh okay, I just need to get a few things,' you said taking the bag. 'Very well, meet me down stairs,' he said as he walked away.

You quickly did a charm on your things to make them quickly get packed up. You were about to walk out the door when you remembered. Fred. You turned and saw him peacefully sleeping. You grabbed a piece of paper of your desk and wrote him a note, also leaving him the money you won. He needed it more. He needed to open his joke shop, and maybe he could have a joke item made about you. You laughed to yourself as you thought about the idea. You sat the note next to him along with the money. You put your hand on his face and gently kissed him goodbye.

You went downstairs. Dumbledore was waiting patiently for you. He saw you and smiled, 'Best be off yeah?' You just nodded. He grabbed your shoulder and you aperated to an unknown living room. 'Professor, where are we?' you asked looking around confused. 'This is 12 Grimmauld Place here in London. This is where you'll be staying all summer.'
