Sorry it took so long. I didn't have internet over the weekend and I wasn't sure who I wanted to win the bet--lies I know who I wanted to win but I had to pick out who would be less predictable to win. It's kind of a short chapter, sorry again. I'll have more by tomorrow hopefully. I'm started to get writer's block and It sucks. I guess I could fast forward to the wedding or something...maybe I'll bring Jace's siblings home or something.....

Chapter 11
“No!” I shouted slamming down the controller. “Dammit. That’s not fair!”
“What’s not fair? The fact that I won?” Jace asked with a smug grin on his face making me want to smack his pretty face off.
“You cheated. You kept pressing the freaking square button over and over again,” I snapped.
“Well there wasn’t any other way I’d get a move in. You are way too fast for that,” he argued.
“You’re supposed to mix different moves together not just use the same damn move,” I complained.
Jace grinned even wider. “There was no rule against that,” he said.
“But it’s cheating!” I yelled.
He cupped his ear with his hand and made an “ouch” face. “Still we said nothing about that being an issue.”
I glared and launched towards him. I slapped his cheek. He pushed me down onto the floor under him. He pinned my hands up above my head and laughed. “Audrey, I’m sorry but I won. You’re stuck with me. You can still be friends with Alec though.”
I frowned and squirmed. I was tired of this happening. No matter what I did he would always win. He kissed my cheek and stood up bringing me with him. I bit my lip and pulled my hand out of his. I crossed my arms at the look on his face.
“Audrey, I’m sorry. You shouldn’t have agreed to the bet,” he shrugged.
“I guess I can’t complain I really had nothing to lose. Just…something to win,” I sighed my arms dropping to my sides.
“Hey, it’s not like I’m going to hurt you. Audrey, I really do love you,” he said cupping my cheek.
I stopped breathing. He’d said “I like you” or “you’re beautiful” before but never that he loved me. Was that even possible? No, you couldn’t just love someone that you don’t know. I don’t believe in love at first sight…except for when I saw Alec. But I knew him then…not officially but my friend knew him…before she moved away and she told me tons about him and introduced us.
“Audrey breathe, you’re turning blue,” Jace said shaking my shoulder.
I pulled in a shaky breath. “I’m going to…go upstairs.”
“Do you want to—“
“No,” I said. “I’m fine.”
I walked around him and charged upstairs into my room.
Jace POV
Stupid, stupid, stupid. “Why would you tell her that?” I thought. I was an idiot. I told her I loved her. She stopped freaking breathing and…she’s…ugh I’m an idiot.
I walked to the base of my staircase, the one that led to the east wing. The wing I shared with my older brother, who was in Italy at the moment with my sister. I considered going up after Audrey, but I just sat down on the fourth step and waited. I knew she wouldn’t come back down until I went to get her.
“Jace, honey, is everything alright?” the cook, Eliza, asked in her country accent sitting beside me. “I heard some shoutin’ and came to make sure everything was alright.”
“Yes, Eliza, it’s fine. I just beat her at her favorite video game and I found out that she is a very sore loser,” I said as the woman rubbed my back. She was like a second mother to me. She’d been here for years.
“Alright, honey. If you need anything let me know,” she said kissing my temple standing up. She patted my shoulder before walking away.
