"Please be safe, Stephanie. I can't lose you."
"I know father. I'll be fine."
"Ok.. I trust that you'll be safe. Here." He gave the girl a necklace. It was a green crystal with a snake wrapped around it. "I have a similar one. If you squeeze it, it will bring you to me. Understand?"
"Yes father."
"Good. Please be safe."
"I will." The two shared a long hug before they had to go. The death eaters got into position, waiting for Voldemort's command.
"They never learn. Such a pity. Begin." Voldemort said.
"But, my lord, shouldn't we wait-" Voldemort looks at the death eater, which makes him silent.
"I said begin." Everyone starts casting spells at the boundary, trying to break it. Voldemort raises his arm in the air that held the elder wand. The shield broke up. That's how powerful the wand is. The death eaters start running into Hogwarts. Stephanie finally found Draco and went to him.
"Draco. We need to stick together."
"Ok.." The two ran inside the castle, avoiding spells casted at them.
"Filch locked the Slytherins in the dungeons. Blaise, Theo, Crabbe, Goyle, and Pans are in there." They apparated to the dungeons.
"What's the plan?"
"This." Stephanie raised her wand. "Bombarda." The cell bars explode, releasing the students. They all start fleeing. Draco grabs Blaise and Goyle and pulls them aside. "Hey."
"Hey Steph."
"Let's go! We don't have time!" They start running somewhere.
"Where are we going Draco?"
"The room of requirement."
"Ok.." Stephanie looked behind her and saw someone with their wand pointed at the group. "Watch out!" The group ducked as the person casted a spell. The wall behind them exploded. "Stupefy!"
"Thank you, Steph."
"Thank me after this stupid war." They start running again, avoiding and casting spells at the enemy. They finally got to the room and stood outside of it. Draco turns around and faces a wall. He closes his eyes and suddenly a window explodes, filling the corridor with smoke.
"Take my hand. Now!" Stephanie holds his hand along with Goyle, Stephanie then holds on to Blaise's hand.

"Well, Well, what brings you here, Potter?" Draco said as he came forth and revealed himself, Blaise and Goyle behind him. Their wands are pointed at Harry. Stephanie just stood on the side, watching.
"I could ask you the same."
"I virtually lived here last year. Remember?"
"I remember."
"You have something of mine. I'd like it back." Draco gestures to his wand in Harry's pocket.
"What's wrong with the one you have?"
"It's my mother's. It's very powerful, but it's not the same. It doesn't... understand me. Know what I mean?"
"Why didn't you tell her?" Draco stays silent. "Bellatrix. You knew it was me. But you didn't say anything."
"Give me my wand."
"No. I don't think so.." Harry takes the wand out of his pocket. "Besides, its allegiance is to me now. If you want it, you'll have to win it back. Perhaps even kill me..."
"Harry just shut up." Stephanie finally said.
"Why are you changing all of a sudden? Before you were just talking about how muggle-borns and blood traitors were equal to purebloods." Draco turned his attention to the girl.
"W-What.. I never said that."
"Yes you did."
"No I didn't! This is a waste of time! I'm going to father. Wait until he hears that Potter thinks I said all this stuff!" Stephanie stormed out of the room. She sighed and sat down on the floor, leaning against the wall. She waited for her boyfriend and friends. A few minutes later the doors burst open, everyone tumbling into the hall. Stephanie got up and watched as Harry stabbed a crown, Ravenclaw's diadem, with a baskilisk fang. He then throws it into the room of requirements which is now on fire. The doors shut. Draco and Blaise got up.
"Steph! Let's go!" Draco grabbed Stephanie's wrist and ran with Blaise.
"Where's Goyle!?"
"He died."
"Burned alive.."
"Oh my Merlin.." They go inside an empty classroom to catch their breaths. "Goyle was adorable."
"He was annoying. He just used us because of our status and our money."
"Well.. he cares about us! Crabbe and Goyle always walked me to class when you couldn't!"
"Whatever.. it doesn't matter now. Stephanie."
"Yeah?"
"Is it true what Potter said? You thought mudbloods were equal to us?" Stephanie looked at Blaise who just turned away.
"Fine! I did! What are you going to do about it!? Break up with me!?"
"No.. of course not."
"Blood status doesn't matter Draco. It doesn't define our strengths and weaknesses. It doesn't define who we are. We were raised to hate them when they're no different to us."
"You were faking it the whole time?"
"I just wanted you to approve of me.. I wanted you to like me. Potter called me out in second year about it. He knew all along." Draco hugged her.
"I'm not mad at you Stephanie. You're right.. I was raised to hate them. I would've been disowned if I said anything about it."
"Yeah but when we grow up we can accept them. We don't have to listen to our parents anymore. We aren't them and we should listen to our own opinions and thoughts. What do you say Dray?"
"Ok. After the war. When we're together. We can accept them." Stephanie and Draco leaned in and put their lips together.
"You are not snogging right in front of me. Also, there's a war going on! Let's go guys! Break is over!" They pulled away.
"Right.."
"I'll see you guys later. I'm gonna check on my father."
"Ok be safe."
"You too."
