The next day Stephanie grabbed Ron and Harry harshly and pulled them to the side.

"So why were you two in the Slytherin common room?"

"What do you mean?" Harry said trying to not look guilty.

"I know a poorly brewed Polyjuice potion when I see one! Now 'Crabbe and Goyle' why were you two in there?" Stephanie said while making air quotes with her fingers when saying Crabbe and Goyle.

"Fine we wanted to find out if Malfoy was the Heir of Slytherin."

Stephanie bursted into laughter.

"Draco? The Heir of Slytherin! You two are funny. First of all, he's not smart enough and he doesn't have the guts. Second, he doesn't speak Parseltongue, which is a trait that you're supposed to obtain if you're related to Salazar Slytherin, I'm assuming. Also, you're welcome for not blowing your cover. However, the next time you're in the Slytherin common room I won't hesitate to bring you to Professor Snape."

The boys nodded.

"Now get going to class."

Stephanie walked away from them. She proceeded to her Charms class. The class was fairly boring. She spent her time passing notes to Draco, talking about quidditch, classes, etc. Finally class ended. The two got their stuff and headed out.

"I have a free period. My next class is after lunch."

"Same wanna head to the common room? We can start homework or something."

"Sure Draco."

They went to the common room and sat down on one of the black leather couches. They got out their homework and started it. Stephanie helped Draco with a few questions. Draco was very smart, takes third place in highest grades; Hermione takes second while Stephanie is in first. They eventually finished. Stephanie put all her books in her bag and laid down on the couch, her head in Draco's lap. Draco started to play with her hair. He braided her hair, Stephanie taught him how to braid when they were 8.

"Did you switch shampoos?"

"Hm?"

"You're hair used to smell like lavender, now it smells like coconut."

"Why you don't like it?"

"No I do like it. I actually prefer the coconut over the lavender."

"I didn't know you pay attention to detail. Also why are you smelling me?" Stephanie said while laughing.

"I'm sorry I just-"

"It's fine Draco. We're best friends I could care less if you smelled my hair or whatever."

Draco frowned hearing her say that they were only friends. He wanted to be Stephanie's boyfriend, if she liked him back. They were only 12. It would be inappropriate to date at that age. At least that's what Stephanie thought. Stephanie told him that people should date at the age of 13 and up.

"Do you wanna sneak out tonight Draco? Maybe we can look at the stars or something."

"Sure why not."

He finished braiding her hair. He put a hair tie at the end of the braid. Stephanie put the braid on her shoulder, hanging in the front.

"Wow you're really improving Draco." Stephanie chuckled.

"Why thank you." He laughed.

"Hey where's Eve?"

"Probably in the kitchen."

"Yeah whatever. Wanna go to lunch?"

"Sure."

They made their way to the Great Hall and sat at their table. Only Daphne and Theo were there. Stephanie started to trust Theo with Daphne. He was a gentleman towards her and cared a lot for her.

"Hey Steph."

"Hi Daph, Theo." Theo waved as a reply.

Stephanie took a sandwich and started to eat it. She took a sip of pumpkin juice every now and then.

"Daph what color do you think I should paint my nails?"

"Do that blue green color that's new. It matches Eve's skin."

"Do brown."

"Ew no Draco!" She shoved him playfully. "Daphne you win. Blue green it is!"

They all finished their lunch and went to their remaining classes. Stephanie had DADA where she learned nothing. Instead of listening to Lockhart, she painted her nails with her wand. Gotta love magic right? The class eventually ended. Stephanie packed up her stuff and left the classroom. She was walking to the stairs when she was stopped by a huge crowd.

"What is going on?" Stephanie said in confusion.

"Stephanie! We should go to the common room!" Draco said. He looked like he was hiding something. Stephanie ignored him and pushed her way into the front. Once she saw what the commotion was about she let out a very loud scream. Everyone stared at her. She dropped onto her knees, sobbing. Draco hugged her, trying to comfort her. She sobbed into his chest, trying not to look at the scene.
