The rest of the night was a rollercoaster for Bakugo, he would get glimpses of the Sludge Villain in his sleep that would volt him awake. Bakugo appreciated how she was handling his panic attacks and it made him feel safe in her arms. He never really liked to think of that trauma when he was younger. It was always a memory that he tried to suppress because that was the first time he came close to death. He remembered the feeling of the sludge on his face and how the villain tried to suffocate him to take over his body. His body did not do what he hoped it would and he had to rely on someone else to save him. Even when he was kidnapped by the League of Villian, he was rescued by other people and not just by himself. Back then he was overly cocky about his abilities but he knew deep down he needed other people. The support he got from everyone else during both traumas wasn't appreciated like how he appreciates it now as an adult. You could call it selfish pride but Bakugo accepted it now. He couldn't do everyone on his own as much as he wanted to as a child. These feelings have been suppressed in his mind for so long and he didn't know what to do. His body kept waking him up throughout the night and he felt like shit. Every time he would wake up, Elvira would be there to comfort him back to sleep. She talked to him in a gentle tone with a smile every time even if she was tired herself.

She would never know how much he loved her.

He felt his heart feel heavier as the night went on. His feelings were getting the better of him and he thought it was due to his episode. He thought to himself in between waking up, how long has he had feelings for her? Back in high school, he didn't think much about romance and only tried to surpass Deku. Did he just ignore his feelings until they were forgotten? He bit the inside of his cheek as he looked over at Elvira's sleeping body. It was his dirty little secret to hold to himself. He didn't want to risk telling her his feelings and completely losing her. Elvira did say she was willing to bend rules for him but he knew she wouldn't break all of them. It was best to just keep it to himself because it was the only way to stay with her.

Even if it risked heartbreak.

His hand gently caressed Elvira's cheek as he looked down at her. In her sleep, she kissed his palm before mumbling in her sleep. His heart raced as he watched her for a bit. Bakugo was content just being with her.

It's worth it, right...?

Sleep finally took Bakugo after being stuck in his thoughts. The night terrors slowly stopped until he was able to sleep through the rest of the night. After a while, the soft sound of humming awoke him from his sleep. His eyes opened up groggy as he lay in Elvira's bed. He looked over to the side to see it empty next to him and he frowned to himself. He looked over to see Elvira sitting at her vanity mirror. She was brushing her long white hair with her eyes closed as she hummed. He slowly sat up to stretch his arms and Elvira saw him in the reflection once she opened her eyes. She turned around in her chair with a smile and he gave her a tired smile back.

"What time is it?" he said in a groggy groan.

"Oh, it's about noon. I decided to let you sleep in after what happened last night. You needed the rest." Elvira said as she continued to brush out her hair. "You did wake up a lot."

"Sorry about that..." he let out a sigh.

"I don't mind it, Katsuki. I'm just glad you were finally about to get some sleep after such a rough night." she set down her brush before leaving her vanity.

She walked over to Bakugo and slipped into the bed with him. His hands gently grab onto her face and pull her into his lips. She returned the kiss with a giggle against his lips.

"How did you sleep?" she asked as she caressed his cheek.

"I slept very well actually but that was thanks to you. You really helped me out last night." Bakugo smiled before looking away. "Again, I'm still sorry."
