"your family is so nice, they're almost better than you." ash jokingly says which makes me laugh.
"your family isn't almost better than you, they are." i tease back to him.
"whatever, brin."
"whatever, ashton." i mock him.
"i really like this happy brin. happy brin makes me a happy ashton. and i also love talking in third person."
i'm starting to feel so much better and i almost think i'm recovering. happiness is really starting to come out and everyone is noticing and i love it.
"oh shit." ash suddenly stands up and starts looking for his phone. once he found it, he goes outside to make a call.
i patiently wait for him to walk back in so he would tell me what the urgency of that call was. minutes later, he's walking back in with a smug look upon his face and i right away know it's something special he has planned. i've learned that he's not really good at hiding feelings and things of that nature. it was always so obvious it hurt. he stares at me without saying anything for a good moment before finally speaking up.
"we're going on a date in two hours, by the way." he says like it was no big deal. it was almost five at night so we must be going around seven.
"oh, okay," i say, but apparently it came out more like a question because he turned back to me with an eyebrow rose.
"excuse me, miss?" he questions with a smirk tugging at his lips.
"i said okay," i push myself to the back of the bed and he came even more towards me. he keeps coming towards me until he was an inch away from my face.
"is this okay?" he asks right before he kisses me. i could practically feel my underwear drop for him.
and let me say one thing, this is great and completely okay. a heated make out session could quickly turn to something more and it almost did until his phone starting ringing from the kitchen. he pulls away with swollen lips thanks to me.
"gotta take this... and oh, don't worry, we'll finish this later," he winks and then walks out of the cabin again. i didn't know what to do so i just sat there until it was time to get ready.

i quickly slip my converse on and meet ashton outside like he said i was supposed to do. i sat on the steps for ten minutes before seeing him walk up to me with flowers in his hand. i stand up and give him the biggest hug in the whole world.
"this is so sweet, thank you." i smile and run inside to put them down.
"they're even more beautiful than you are." he chuckles.
"you cheesy motherfucker." i mumble with the biggest smile ever.
we walk until we see a car waiting for us. he opens the door for more like the gentleman he is and once i realize that luke was the one who was driving us around i just laugh as hard i ever have. of course he would get this noodle boy to bring us around. we make small talk as he brings us out of the town to somewhere i've never been before. soon, luke stops and let's us out and just winks as he drives away.
ashton takes my hand and pulls me into a building that looks like a small coffee shop. typical ashton and his coffee habits along with mine. he orders me a coffee the way i like it and then drags me upstairs to a huge thrift store for books. i almost drop my cup as i stare in admiration of how much planning this must have taken. he let's go of my hand and takes my coffee then urges me to go pick books out. this was heaven for me considering that i was a huge book reader.
<ashton's pov>
i watch in awe as she takes off into the many aisles of books placed in front of us. she was so adorable and this just made it ten times better. sitting down at a table, i place the coffees in front of me and look for brin since she took off. this girl will be the death of me. there was so much planned for tonight and i hope everything goes how it's supposed to go. i really like brin, but the distance scares me and the summer was almost over. hopefully this isn't just a summer fling and it lasts long.
minutes later, brin emerges from a shelf with five books in her hands and a sheepish smile. i was so whipped and she was so cute, i can't take it. i take the books from her hand and tell her to wait so i could go pay for them and treat her since i was such the gentleman. i soon return holding a small bag of her books and she just grins.
"this was so amazing, ashton, thank you." she blushes and leans in for a kiss, but i deny her.
"this isn't over, sweetheart. we're just getting started and you're just going to love it even more." i say as i pull her towards the stairs so we could leave. luke is going to take to yet another place and this was the one i was most excited for.
"hey, slow down! my legs aren't as long as yours since i'm not like nine feet tall!" she pouts adorably.
"i'm sorry," i say and turn around to kiss her. it was a brief kiss since we have places to be, but all worth it.
we get back into the car and luke basically speeds to the beach. at first, we were going to spend the night there, but we have to work tomorrow and wouldn't make it back in time so instead, we were going to have a picnic and stargaze until about 11 since it was 9 right now. this night is only going to get better.
