It was wrong, what they were doing, but since the first timid, unsure kiss they'd shared, both Lindsey and Stevie knew it was going to be impossible to stop. Agreeing to do this tour, Lindsey never imagined that he'd find himself in her arms again. After all, he had a girlfriend, a much younger girlfriend, he was settling down. Stevie too was in a relationship, which didn't sit well with Lindsey at all, however, it was not his place to say a word about it. He silently wondered to himself, what would it take for the two of them to stop their on and off again affair for good. Lindsey doubted there was anything that would make them stop.

"You've been awfully quiet." Lindsey spoke up, Stevie cuddled up to him as they lay together in her bed. "Not gonna lie, it's kind of scary." He chuckled nervously.

Stevie tilted her chin up and cupped his cheek, brushing her thumb over the rough skin. "My mind's racing. I feel so guilty, Linds. Dave doesn't deserve any of this." She looked away, sighing. "Neither does Kristen."

"I honestly believed that you and I were over, Steph." And he meant it, pulling her closer. "If I'd known that there was still something between us, she would have never happened."

"Well, you didn't know about Dave either."

Lindsey hesitated asking, but he had to. "Is he good to you?"

"He's wonderful." Stevie didn't see any point in lying. "But..." She shrugged. "He simply had no idea, what he was getting himself into. We're from such different walks of life, not to mention, he's twenty years younger than me..."

"Is it safe to say that you and I both are going through a mid-life crisis?" Lindsey attempted to lighten up the mood and received a slap on the arm for that.

"I tried pushing him away, you know. I told him everything, I wanted him to know that it won't be easy, I asked if he was going to be able to deal with my lifestyle. He swears, he's fine, but..." Shaking her head, Stevie continued. "I'm not so sure that he is. I'm repeating myself, but it's not easy being Mr. Stevie Nicks." Lindsey smirked and Stevie slapped him again. "It's not! Dave is so family oriented. His idea of a perfect evening is having dinner, putting twins to bed and going to sleep together and hour later. That's just not who I am. I wake up, when they're having lunch, I eat breakfast, when they're having dinner. When Dave goes to bed, I light up incense, pour myself a glass of wine and sit down at the piano to write until the sun comes back up again."

"Well, you have to ask yourself, Stevie, if you're willing to change, even if it just a little. Do you want a man in your life, a family that much to be able to change for them?" Lindsey had asked himself the very same question many times. He hadn't yet come to any answer.

"I do have feelings for Dave and I absolutely adore his children, but I- I don't know. I honestly do not know." Stevie shrugged her shoulder, breathing out heavily. "What I do know is that he'll never bring me the kind of comfort that you do."

Lindsey remained silent. There were a lot of things he wanted to say, but their relationship was already escalating into something a lot more than it was supposed to.

"I just want you to be happy, Steph. If that happens to be with Dave, I'll be happy for you and I wish you all the luck in the world and if not... you'll still have me, always." He pressed a kiss to her hair.

"Yeah, but in what way?" Stevie asked, only half expecting him to answer.
