"That tickles." Stevie pulled the covers up to her neck, preventing Lindsey's fingertips from dancing over her her skin.

"It doesn't work like that, Stevie. It's not a shield." Lindsey said, sneaking his hand now under the covers, letting it rest on her hip. "Good morning."

"Morning." She replied, backing herself a bit more into his body.

"Is this an invitation?"

"Do you think about anything else?" Stevie asked, her eyes still closed, she blindly reached for his hand and brought it to her middle. "You're pushing fifty, Linds. There most be something wrong with you."

"How me, being able to perform, very well I may add, is a problem?"

"It becomes a problem, when it's early in the morning, after a tour and lots to drink." Surprisingly in a good mood, Stevie decided to tease him. "Besides, who said, you perform very well?"

"Excuse me?"

Stevie couldn't see Lindsey's face, but she could imagine it pretty well. "What if I'm faking?"

Silence.

Stevie turned her head to look back over her shoulder and Lindsey seemed to be deep in thought. "Are you okay?"

"Are you faking?" He asked, almost sounding hurt.

"Jesus, Linds, I was kidding." Still, his eyes on her, awaiting reassurance. "I'm just kidding, really. You're the best lover I've ever had, there's no one else like you, Linds."

"Keep talking." Lindsey nodded, getting closer, his lips softly pressing to her shoulder blade.

"I doubt your ego needs more stroking."

"Well, maybe not my ego, but..." His hand began exploring, gently kneading her hip as his lips moved to her neck. Lindsey knew that she was done with her little jokes as soon as he lifted her leg over his, giving himself a much better access. "Nothing else to say, baby?" Stevie shook her head, her eyes now closed again, a small moan passed through her lips, when two of his fingers brushed over her center.

After a bit of teasing on his part, Lindsey had had enough of it himself. Reaching in between them, he pressed his hardened length against her and agonizingly slowly, pushed forward, causing the both of the them to moan together. Her back pressed to his front provided a great level of closeness, his one hand on her hip, keeping it in place, the other arm wrapped around her middle.

"I love you, Stephanie. I love you with all of my heart." He spoke quietly into her ear, feeling her fingers lace through his. "You're the one, the only one." With every word, the speed of his thrusts increased. He knew from her flushed skin, her quick sharp intakes of air, that she was close. "You're my whole entire world, baby. You're the only one that matters." Her movements no longer matched his as she stilled, a strangled version of his name escaping her lips. It didn't take long for him to follow, when she repeated all the same things he had told her.

"I don't want to leave." Lindsey said after a while as they lay together in a mess of tangled limbs.

"I don't want you to leave." Stevie smiled sadly, pressing her lips to his. "Just think of everything we talked about last night."

"You too." He nodded, giving her an almost pleading look. "I'll give you a couple of days to settle in, when we come home. I have things to do and I obviously have to talk to Kristen."

"Yeah. I'll have to somehow talk to Dave as well." Stevie sighed, knowing that wasn't going to be a very pleasant conversation.

"I'll give you a call or come by then?"

"You know I'll be waiting." She smiled, feeling slightly more excited.

"Things are going to change, Steph, for the better." Lindsey assured her and himself. "Our lives are going to change."

Saying that, Lindsey had no idea just how true his words were.
