"Aren't you going to say something?" Stevie asked, when Dave failed to respond.

Dave slowly pulled away and got up to his feet to reach for their clothes. They redressed, still in silence, he then took a seat beside her. Taking her by the hand, Dave held onto her, eyes locked.

"You want to get married?"

"I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't." Stevie added. "Yes, I want us to get married. Is it such an outrageous idea? I thought, you were going to be a bit more excited." She looked away, but he turned her head gently, so they were face to face.

A smile crossed his lips and Dave nodded. "I want nothing more, Stevie. I just... It came completely out of nowhere and to be honest, I'm a bit speechless." He cupped her face in the palms of his hands and gave her a kiss. "Speechless, but happy. However, I thought, I was the one supposed to propose?"

"Well..." Stevie shrugged. "I didn't propose to you exactly. I just brought up the subject. I understand that you might have some reservations, considering everything that-"

"I'm going to stop you right there." Dave cut in. "It's all in the past, baby. The past two months have been amazing and I wouldn't change a thing about the way we are and who we are. I love you, I know that you love me too, albeit to some extent-"

Now Stevie had to interrupt. "I do, Dave. I do love you. I've told you this a hundred times already, but no other man has ever treated me as well as you do. You're just you. You don't pretend to be someone you're not. You're sincere and so very kind. So, if you have doubts, please, know that I love you, too."

Her words broadened his smile. Dave hugged her around the shoulders and leaned against the back of the couch, bringing Stevie with him. "You can't possibly imagine, how much those words mean to me." He said, kissing her temple. "I have once or twice looked at some rings, you know... And I'm not just saying that."

"You don't have to buy me a ring, Dave." Stevie shook her head, cuddled up to his side. Having seen her lifestyle, Dave knew that she enjoyed luxurious things, but Stevie didn't think of herself as spoiled. The last thing she wanted was for him to spend a stupid amount of money on an engagement ring.

"Don't be silly, of course, I do." He insisted, lacing his fingers through hers.

Meanwhile, as Stevie had begun planning her wedding, Lindsey was left all alone. He was so shocked, when Stevie told him to move on, because she was trying to do the same, that he couldn't even attempt to fight her, to fight for her. When she left, Lindsey hid himself in his home studio. He picked up his guitar and began strumming whatever came to mind. He played his songs with Fleetwood Mac, he played his own solo creations, he played every song he could think of, which had something to do with Stevie. And there were a lot. He wasn't ashamed to cry and he did. Lindsey had kept his emotions bottled up for months and it was time to let them out. He had a couple of drinks too, he even considered smoking some pot, but he decided to forgo that idea. He enjoyed a clearer mind.

Putting down his acoustic, Lindsey leaned forward, head in his hands, and sighed heavily. He turned his head and glanced at the phone nearby. Lindsey stood up and walked over to it. Somewhat unsure, he dialed the number and waited for someone to answer his call.

"Hello?"

"It's me, Kristen."
