A little ways down the road...

"Linds." No response. "Lindsey." Nothing. "I think, we should break up."

Lindsey stirred, inhaling deeply as his eyes opened slowly. He smiled at Stevie's face right above him. "Hey."

"Yes, hi. I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to move. I can't feel my legs." Stevie complained, trying to shift in her seat, with his head still in her lap. "I've never imagined someone's head could weigh so much."

"It's all the fantastic ideas, Steph." Lindsey sat up and stretched. "How long was I asleep?" He asked through a yawn.

"I watched a whole movie, which I did not enjoy, but the remote was out of my reach and I didn't want to disturb you." She replied, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Oh, I'm sorry, baby." Lindsey lay his head on Stevie's shoulder, his arm wrapped around her middle. "You're just so comfortable."

"You're lucky you're so handsome." She said, tapping the tip of his nose with the pad of her finger.

"I really am, aren't I?"

Stevie rolled her eyes and pushed him away. She got up on her feet and bent over, then straightened up and repeated it again a couple more times, while Lindsey watched, enjoying the view. She may or may not had her back facing him.

"Is that all?" Lindsey asked, when Stevie turned around, hands on her hips.

"What do you mean?" She raised an eyebrow at him.

"Oh, I don't know. This reminded me of when I used to watch you practice ballet." He shrugged. "Hey, do you still have one of those leotards lying around somewhere?"

"Creep."

"Right, because me watching you dance in little to no clothes is the absolute worst thing we've ever done." Lindsey rolled his eyes, stilled sprawled on the couch, while Stevie stood in front of him. He wondered about the most graceful way he could grab her and make sure she landed in his lap.

"I'm a lady by day." Stevie said, laying a hand over her heart.

"And a temptress by night."

Stevie smirked and shrugged it off. "It's not my fault that you can't resist me." Quickly changing the subject, she steered his mind towards his other passion. "So, do you want to look around my half home studio as you put it?"

"Yeah!" Lindsey nodded eagerly, his eyes lit up.

They had been living together for a little over a month. For the time being, Lindsey had moved in to Stevie's house, while they figured out their future living situation. When he brought up the topic for the first time, he could tell that there was no way Stevie was going to sell her house and he didn't see a point in arguing. Lindsey felt like he owned a house and Stevie - a home.

"I can't believe you haven't yet set foot in here." Stevie said, opening the door. She didn't see a point in having an elaborate, expensive studio at home, but the basis were there and she knew that Lindsey could easily build up something great around it.

"Well, I was occupied." Lindsey embraced her from behind and brushed her hair away to kiss her neck for emphasis. "Alright, let's see what we've got here."

Lindsey pulled away and immediately turned very serious. There wasn't that much to look at, but he managed to spend a good while walking around, studying the equipment Stevie did own.

"Not too shabby, Steph." Lindsey gave an approving nod of his head, looking quite impressed. "I imagined a single tape recorder lying somewhere around here." He noticed an acoustic guitar in the corner and was instantly drawn to it. "This looks familiar."

Stevie smiled and took a seat next to him, when Lindsey sat down on a plush couch. "You played it a very long time ago."

Lindsey looked the instrument over and he remembered. It was the same guitar from years ago, when they were just Buckingham Nicks. Even though it was old, it looked like it was very well kept and treated with care. "Do you play it?"

"Eh, sometimes." Stevie shrugged, leaning back. "When I can't work out a melody in my head, I mess around on it."

"Do you mind?" He held the guitar out for her, but she shook her head.

"Oh no, that's your department."

Lindsey didn't push it and he lay the acoustic across his lap. He began picking chords and soon something was coming together. Stevie was always amazed by his ability to create beautiful music just like that.

"You keep playing." She said, standing up.

Lindsey watched as Stevie looked around for something, that something being a notepad and a pen. She took her seat again and brought her legs up, sitting Indian style. Just as Lindsey could easily come up with a melody, Stevie had the same gift with words. She listened to him for a moment as he played the same part over and over again. She pressed the pen against the paper and the words started flowing. At first she hummed the melody reading over what she had written, then she sang the words out loud. Lindsey suggested a couple of changes and added a line of his own.

After some time, Lindsey stopped, catching Stevie's attention. "What is it? Why did you stop?"

"Steph?"

"Yeah?" She replied impatiently.

"We're writing together."
