Chapter 10
We stayed like that for a couple more minutes. Well, baka nga isang oras na.
It's so silent that the silence is giving me an eerie feeling. Pero of course, guni-guni ko lang 'yon. I don't believe in such non-existent creatures.
He heaved again a heavy sigh.
Teka nga, was I spacing out?
"I'm sorry, what is it again? By the way my nickname is Mist not Leigh," I corrected him.
I rolled my eyes and he just laughed.
"Some pain are better left hidden. Hindi lahat ng sakit kailangan ilabas. Sometimes mas mabuting itago nalang ito para sa kapakanan ng lahat," I said directly.
I don't know where I got the courage to speak like that but yes, based on experience, mas magandang itago nalang ang sakit. Trust me, it's proven and tested.
"Kapag kasi tinatago mo, mas lalo kang kakainin nito. It's like a magnet and a magnetic. Say for an example, you are the magnet and the pain is the slime mixed with iron oxide powder. When you, the magnet is placed in the middle where magnetic slime is surrounding it, what happens to the magnet?" He asked me.
"Uh, the magnetic slime goes to it like it eats the magnet whole," I answered his question.
"Exactly, the magnet, which apparently is you, gets eaten by the the magnetic slime, which is the pain. You see, it will eat you whole. Then the next thing you knew, it's hard for you to be happy again. You'll never find the genuine happiness you're yearning for because your letting the pain get you."
For a second, I'm deeply touch by Chaos' words. I feel like crying. Kasi 'yong sabi niya, sapul na sapul e. Like an atomic bomb dropped at Nagasaki. Gano'n 'yong effect.
It's like my whole body was affected with his words. Tama siya, pain eats ms alive. He represented me and the pain so well. Nonetheless, I still choose to be eaten by it.
"Like I said, some pain is better hidden. If it is for the greater good, then why not suffer alone? It's better to keep and get killed with pain than let it out with hundreds of people in your surrounding being affected," I said my last resort.
"Okay, I won't force you to tell me your pain. It's your choice," Chaos said.
He then hugged me. Yeah, it's my choice. And I choose to suffer alone. He continued to hug me until he said words that literally made my heart ache.
"Just do remember that I'm here. Mabilis at nakakailang man pakinggan but I will always be here for you form now on. I'll help you survive, I promise. Just let me."
