John walked down the street, humming softly with the music going through his headphones. He strolled into a tiny bakery to buy a blueberry muffin. They always made it the best here. The smell of fresh pastries filled the air. John sighed. It smelt like love and hard work.

Before he was able to step into the line, a girl about his age bumped into him. She was wearing a pastel yellow shirt and black, cuffed, ripped jeans. A large, blue apron covered up her outfit. He was going to apologize but the girl stopped him before he had the chance.

"Can you do me a favor?" She rushed.

"Uh, sure. What is it?"

"Okay, so there's this guy hitting on me." The girl turned around, trying to see if the man was approaching her. "It's making me really uncomfortable and I've already asked him to stop. Can you help me?"

"Yeah, of course. I'm so sorry."

"Thank you so much. Just follow my lead."

The girl dragged John over to a small corner of the bakery. The man looked like he was in his late thirties. Definitely too old for the young girl. Even the man's appearance was threatening.

John didn't say much. He wasn't really paying attention either, he just made sure the man didn't try anything violent. Thankfully, the man left soon enough.

"Thank you so much, again. I, uh, I should get back to my shift." Before she was completely out of earshot, she turned around. "Um, do you want something? On the house, of course."

"I was just going to get a muffin. I can pay-"

"Please. As a thank you."

"Fine. It was no problem anyway. No one deserves to be harrassed like that."

The girl gave him a smile.
