"Alex!" Peggy yelled, opening his front door. How she managed to do that was beyond him.

"Peggy, how and why are you doing this?" Alex groaned, pulling her into a hug.

"Ooh, just you wait I have another surprise coming," she said, grinning.

Just then, Maria, Peggy's wife, came in the door, holding a large grocery bag.

"What is that?" Alex asked.

"Oh, nothing, Alex." Peggy bounced on the balls of her feet. "Where's Philip?"

"With John. Why?"

"When are you going to stop being chicken and ask him out?" Maria interrupted. Alex looked at the floor. "Right, we want to spoil our nephew."

"How about Liza and Angie?"

"Liza's a bitch and hates-" Peggy jerked her thumb at Maria. "-wifey over here for some reason. Angie hates my guts and her husband is borderline homophobic. We've been over this, Alex."

"Fine, I'll tell John you'll be joining him. He's at the park right now." Alex shot a quick text to John. "What's in the bag?"

Maria threw the bag at him. "Paint for Philip."

"Thanks..."

-

"Johnny!" Maria yelled.

John turned around, Philip giggling on his hip. Philip was almost 4 years old already. Alex and Eliza were divorced for about 2 years now, and Eliza had already been married again and had twins.

"Hey, Ria-"

Maria picked Philip from John's arm, and placed him on her own hip. "Cool. Now go hang out with Alex," she shooed.

"Pegs-"

"Nope." She smirked. "You heard wifey. Bye, bye." She turned to Philip. "Say bye, to Johnny, okay? We're going to get some ice cream, over there."

"Yay!"

-

They ended up playing at an indoor playground with a ball pit. They let Philip run around while they watched. It was fun. Philip was having fun.

"Oh, Peggy you're here," Eliza's voice rang bitterly behind her.

Peggy hesitantly turned around. She knew she was starting trouble. She knew this wasn't going to end well.

"Eliza. What are you doing here?"

"Oh, I came up to see Angelica. She's somewhere around here with the kids."

Never mind. She wasn't in the mood for confrontation. "Nice. Well we've got to get going. We're on a schedule after all."

"We?"

Peggy bit her lip. "Maria's here. We're here with Philip."

"Philip?"

"The child you abandoned," Peggy deadpanned.

"Well-"

She wasn't going to hear it. She didn't want to hear it. "Alright. We've got to go. Nice seeing you here."

She turned around to catch up with Maria.

"Peggy, there you are-"

"We have to leave. Karen and Devil are here."

"Okay, let me get- where's Philip?"

"Shit."

They ended up calling John and Alex after searching for 20 minutes. They found Philip playing with another girl, Theodosia, in one of the pipe slides.
