Day 18 (Hamliza)

The multiple flashing cameras blinded Eliza. She tried not to let it bother her.

Just a few minutes. Let them get what they want.

All the ringing and snapping of the cameras and overlapping chatter from the reporters made her sick. It was the same thing every single time. Blinding lights, cameras ringing, yelling reporters.

Eliza kept up her smile, keeping track of the time. He couldn't stay, and leaving too early would make her seem ungrateful or something. She recalled the last time it happened. It was a whole mess. No one trusted her for a whole month. People can really be stupid sometimes.

"One person at a time, please!" She shouted.

The reporters' voices died down to a whisper. Eliza sighed. Thank god. I was about to snap.

"Hey!" One yelled. Eliza turned her head. "What's your cause for helping us?"

Eliza bitterly lightly chuckled, her head tilting down. "Well, ever since I lost my husband, I swore I would push myself to-

-

Alex let out a stressed laugh. This was not happening. Nothing serious happened between him and Eliza. They had gotten a divorce almost a year ago due to the fact that he was gay. He was tired of hiding in the closet. 

Alex and Eliza were at a mutual understanding. The breakup wasn't at all messy. They were still friends, but Alex was tired of having the divorce exaggerated. He still felt a bit bad. He broke Eliza's heart and he knows she's forgiven him, but he can tell Eliza's love for him is more than platonic.

He turned on his phone, pressing on his friend, John's, contact.

Alex: I know you're in the crowd. Tell her I'm not taking her back.

John: Lol sure :)

"Hey! Miss!" John yelled. He saw Eliza turn her head in his direction. "He's still not taking you back!"

Eliza's face turned into one slightly filled with rage. She turned to a reporter holding a large video camera. "Hey, Alex! I love you, but fuck you! You fucking hurt me, dipshit!"
