Ch 15

Caitlin pov
As soon as we stopped speeding, I swallowed the lump in my throat feeling acid reflux.

"Mom are you good?" Ron asks taking obvious notice of my current condition.

I shook my head seeing Dawn arrive seconds later with Barry. Barry made his way to stand close to me and I bent over feeling nausea taking over me. Barry reflexively grabbed my hair out of my face and I puke my life out in matter of seconds. I could feel Barry rubbed my back trying to soothe me.

"Oh my gosh" I whined standing up a little straighter and slightly leaning back towards Barry's shoulder as he stood behind me.

"You're really pale Cait" Barry commented in worry pulling my hair away from my forehead and running a hand through it.

"I'll go get mom some liquids for rehydration" Ron offered and Barry nodded his head in agreement.

"son of a bitch will get his ass beat" Dawn grumbled angrily.

"Don't be impulsive" Ron warned rolling his eyes at his sister.

"Look at what he did to mom? How could I not?" Dawn argued challenging.

"You think I'm not mad? She's my mom too Dawn" Ron snapped back.

"I know I'm just anxious" She whispered sadly.

"We'll be okay" Ron assured comfortingly grabbing her arm and pulling her in a for a hug.

"Barry I don't feel good" I whined feeling nausea taking over again.

"It's your immune system fighting off whatever drug that hospital gave you" Ron reasoned and I eyed him curiously. He knows a lot about medicine.

"I'm a doctor" He commented as he saw my curiosity.

"Very nice" I commented with a proud smile.

"He got the smart gene from you" Dawn smiled and Barry blinked twice before raising his eyebrows defensively.

"Dad don't look so shock" Ron chuckled.

"I would like to think I'm a very competent" Barry glanced between his children.

"Indeed you are. But mom beats you with a Doctorate and PhD" Dawn laughed.

"Alright get your good laugh in, but your quick intellectual cognitive development is thanks to my powers" Barry smirked pridefully and I rolled my eyes at his hurt ego.

"Alright we will give you some credit" Dawn shrugged in agreement and Ron laughed disappearing in a flash and returning with a bottle.

"Here it has sodium chloride, sodium citrate, potassium chloride, and glucose, so that your body can rehydrate quickly" Ron explained handing me the bottle. I smiled at his thoughtfulness and chuckled.

"I'll take a random guess and say you're a new doctor?" I smiled.

"Is it that obvious? Let me guess? Was it his impulsive need to explain everything in medical term that gave him away?" Dawn mocked jokingly bumping her shoulders into him. Ron blushed in embarrassment and apologize under his breath.

"Don't worry Ron I was just like you; it's a good thing, the years just wear you out" I laughed.

"Thanks Mom" He smiled as Barry grabbed the rehydrating drink from my hand and opened the cap for me.

"Drink" Barry instructed softly guiding the bottle to my lips. I drank slowly, my throat burning from throwing up so much.

"You guys will need to rest. We will explain everything early morning" Ron smiled as he guided us up the building.

"Who's building is this?" I asked in awe of the beautiful architecture.

"Yours" Dawn and Ron replied simultaneously. I halted in place with my mouth agape opened.

"Mine?" I asked looking at Barry.

"Frost Enterprise" Dawn smiled and I frowned in sadness knowing I didn't have her snarky remarks interrupting my thoughts anymore.

"There is a penthouse in the top floor" Dawn explained as we made our way to the elevator.

"Get some rest. You both need it" Ron smiled. Once we all reached the top floor, we walked in the penthouse and we were both left struck in place.

"Wow" we whispered under our breath.

"Welcome Mr. Allen and Dr. Snow-Allen" an AI welcomed us happily.

"Thank you" We replied looking around us.

"You guys will be save here. No one can hack into the system" Dawn informed.

"Alright. Thank you" I smiled.

"We will be back first thing in the morning. Make yourself at home because it technically is" Ron winked.

"Well every once in a while anyways" Dawn smiled.

"I need to sit down" I whispered in his ear feeling like throwing up again.

"We need to go take care of some things" Ron said walking towards the door.

"Ask Gideon for anything if you need help" Dawn smiled walking behind his brother.

"We will" I smiled.

"I need some sleep" Barry sighed sitting next to me on the couch.

"I don't think all the sleep in the world will prepare has for what we have in store" I sighed leaning my head on his shoulder with a ting of fear.

"We will get through this together" He reassured placing his head on top of mine. We both fell asleep on the couch in exhaustion.

Alrighty familia! Some interesting things are gonna start happening. I will start updating Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's until I finish the book. I feel sad because I will finish the book in these two weeks and I won't get to interact with you all weekly like before! Your comments are truly comical and so fulfilling to my heart! 😫😫
All good things must come to end but I will miss you all once this book is over! 😩😭
