hey guys this chapter is pretty long but please bear with me it's one of my favorite ones!!

THREE WEEKS LATER

the weeks flew by like a rocket, but the individual days went by incredibly slow. jade had been getting intermittently sick, throwing up left and right. beck was constantly worried about her too. he knew she had a pattern of self harm during tough times and she'd been acting distant lately. not a bad distant, but more like tuning out of the world. she always had her earphones in and beck just thought maybe she was feeling disconnected with reality. which never led to good things. he constantly checked up on her, asking her about her mental state. usually all he got was a mere,

"i'm ok beck i swear please stop worrying. on this particular day beck was helping jade carry her books back to her locker. the two were joking as always,

"no she's not that hot" beck lied through his teeth.

"ok beck you're trying to tell me you don't think scarlett johansson is hot?" she raised one eyebrow.

"i mean she's ok" he sarcastically commented.

"oh come on!" jade rolled her eye in annoyance looking back at him as he winked at her. she smiled lightly, her eyes sparkling.

a sudden wave of nausea washed over her. she dropped her books in the middle of the hallway, making heads turn from all over the school as she threw her hand over her mouth and ran to the janitors closet. beck quickly cleaned up the books and rushed to the janitors closet to check on her.

"jade?!" he asked opening the door and looking around. on the floor was jade, her knees up against her stomach and she held her head in her hands.

"are you sure everything's ok? is it the stomach bug or something?" he asked her putting his arm around her shoulders.

"ya probably it's nothing i think" she muttered looking up at him. he just looked so innocent, so unsuspecting. she couldn't bear to tell him her theory, even though she was sure he was ignoring it in the back of his mind too.

"do you need to see a doctor-" he started to say.

"i'm fine" she snapped back, standing up and walking out.

that day beck dropped off jade at the rv and then drove off to andres house, to work on their theatre history essay.

"i'll be back by 5" he cooed kissing the top of her head.

"love you" she responded squeezing his hand.

SETTING CHANGE TO HOSPITAL

"and CLEAR" the doctors in the room screamed as they tried to shock cat awake.

"she's not coming to" one of the doctors commented.

"ya like we can't see that" an obviously very stressed doctor shot back.

"her guardian has signed the form that says after 30 days in unconscious, we unplug her" one of them sighed grabbing her forehead.

"she still has until 5:30" the other doctor replied, not giving up yet.

"you've got 3 hours kiddo" the same one muttered, walking out of the room.

BACK AT THE RV

after beck left jade quickly pulled a pregnancy test out of her pocket. this stupid little plastic white stick could tell her everything she needed to know. she stared at it for a few seconds before sighing and heading into the rv. after doing everything the test said to do all she had to do was wait.

wait for the line or lines to show up on that stupid piece of plastic. the piece of plastic that would determine the rest of her and everyone around her lives. she laid down on beck's couch, hoping to just sit there and do nothing for the thirty minutes she had to wait. but she had been stressing all day and ended up falling asleep.

a little over two hours later, she was shocked awake by the sound of a car door slamming. she jerked awake suddenly remembering the test. she pounced across the room onto the white stick and grabbed it. closing her eyes and opening them slowly to see the results.

"hey babe!" her moment was interrupted by beck, making his way into the rv.

"whatcha doingggg?" he asked closing the door being him.

"nothing!" jade spat, fuck that sounded suspicious, she thought.

THE HOSPITAL

"it is 5:25 pm on december 15, exactly 30 days after catarina valentines car accident" the doctor wrote into a file.

"and on this solemn day, we let her rest peacefully" the doctor continued trying not to let his voice crack. he looked down at her soon to be lifeless body, blinking back tears. such a young life lost too soon, he thought to
himself.

he stared at the machine, slowly letting his hand reach the plug.

"i'm so sorry kiddo" he muttered before yanking the white plug out of the wall.

THE RV

"beck we have to talk" jade stuttered.

"ya? are you ok? is everything ok do you need me what's wrong?" a million questions came out as he thought out loud.

"beck i don't know if you're gonna like this and i don't even know if i do" she said trying to hold back tears.

"beck i will love you no matter what happens. and i hope that you will love me too but i don't know if i can do this" she began to cry making him run over to hug her.

"hey whatever it is we will figure it out. just like we always do." he comforted her rubbing her arms lightly.

HOSPITAL

the doctor hung his head in shame, turning off the lights to the room. suddenly a gasp came from behind him. he spun around violently and almost feel over.

RV

"beck i'm pregnant"

HOSPITAL

"she's awake"
