Modern college au- Third person

Third year at college, with his wonderful boyfriend. Alexander was ready for his well deserved  break. Just one last day of classes and he was out! He jumped out of bed to make some coffee then shook his boyfriend awake.

"John! John! Jacky! Get up!! Last day of school before break!" He called almost jumping with excitement.

"Noooooo! Already?" John groaned.

"What's wrong with Christmas?"

"Family," he sighed.

"Oh! I'm sorry, I forgot!" Alex remembered John's homophobic family from when he met them two summers ago. After telling his family we were dating, he promised he'd never speak to them again. It's not like his family welcomed him anymore anyways.

"No, it's all right! I was going to stay here for the week."

This made Alex feel very guilty. He's been talking about his upcoming trip to the Washington's (his adoptive parents) nonstop.

"Well, you still have to get up. You still have class today." Alex tried to distract John, but he still seemed upset. In another attempt to cheer him up the black haired man attacked him with kisses, causing the freckled one to laugh.

"Ok! Ok! Alex, stop! I'm up!" He yelled.

Alex retreated from the room. He then grabbed his phone and walked out of the dorm, into the hallway.

Rrrring, rrring "Hello?"

"Hello, Mr.Washington."

"Alexander! Nice to hear from you! Is everything ok?"

"Yes sir, but I have a question."

"Yes, son?"

"So I'm supposed to be going to your place for Christmas, correct?"

"Yes, why do you ask?"

"Well you see sir, there is someone I'd like you to meet so I was wondering if they could come too."

"Do they not have a family? Would their family not miss them?" Washington seemed worried.

"Well, sir, they kinda had a disagreement with their family a couple years ago, and can't exactly go back to them. They normally stay at school over the holidays, but I wanted to surprise them. So could they come? I'm sure they'd be okay with staying in my room with me."

"Of course they can come! I'd love to meet your friend! Or maybe they're more than a friend!"

"DAD!"

"What was that, son?"

"Uhhh....Nothing, sir! Thank you for letting them come too! I'll see you tomorrow!"

"You're welcome, son. See you tomorrow!"

Alexander went back into the dorm. "John! Johnny! Guess what?!"

"What?" John sighed.

"How'd you feel about having Christmas with me, Laf, and the Washingtons?"

"YOU DIDN'T!" He gasped!

"Yes I did! Mr.Washington said he'd love to meet you! We leave tomorrow at noon. Once we get done with classes we'll pack. Also I hope you don't mind. I told him we'd share my room."

"Thank you! Besides, it won't be the first time we shared a bed." He smirked causing Alex to blush.

"You ready to meet my adoptive parents?" Alex said, seeming more nervous than John.

"Ready as I'll ever be," the freckled boy grabbed Alex's hand and squeezed it. "We got this!"

Knock, knock, knock. Martha Washington opened the door. "Alexander! It's been so long. Is this the friend you said would be staying with you?"

"Hello Mrs.Washington. It's good to see you too!" He managed to say while hardly being able to breathe from Martha's hug.

"How many times do I have to tell you, please just call me Martha!" She pulled away. "Now aren't you going to introduce me to your friend here?" She gestured to John who stood there awkwardly looking at the ground.

"Oh, right! I was going to introduce him to both you and Mr.Washington at the same time, if you didn't mind."

"Oh, of course dear, I understand. Please, you know you don't have to be so formal around us. No 'Mr.Washington' or 'Mrs.Washington' just George and Martha."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Now let me show your friend here his room so he can drop off his things."

"You didn't have to do this! He would've been fine in my room." John blushed at this comment.

"Nonsense! It was no trouble." She brushed it off and let them in. They followed her upstairs, and to the second room on the right. "Here, sweetheart. This is your room, right next to Alex."

"Thank you, miss." John said politely.

"Please, call me Martha."

"Thank you, Martha," he smiled.

She nodded, "George will be here in about an hour." Then walked downstairs.

"Well, I guess we aren't staying together." John frowned.

"No, we will. Once we tell them about us, they won't care anymore." Alex reassured John who nodded.

"Now we have an hour before we can tell them, so why don't I show you around." John nodded again.

"Alex!" Martha called from the backdoor. "George is here. He wants to meet your friend."

Alex and John heard her and pulled away quickly. "Coming!" was soon heard from the horse stables.

"You ready?" Alex whispered to John, who was trying to find his discarded shirt (What? It was hot outside, or was that just Alex?).

"I guess." He sighed finishing the last button. He walked over to Alex and gave him a quick peck on the lips, then helped him put his hair back into a ponytail, before pulling back his own.

They walked inside, and saw George and Martha sitting on the couch in the living room.

"So son, who's your friend here?" George said smiling.

"Mom, Dad, this is John Laurens, my boyfriend....."
