Warning- arguing, cheating Ham

A/n- So I don't know if this already exists, this is just something that popped into my head. This is a soulmate au, where every time your soulmate cheats on you (kissing or more) a line appears on your left wrist (yes, even before you meet them). I'm going to also add the clock au, where there is a timer (this time it is going to be on your right wrist). So Enjoy!

Modern/High school- 1st person

Three minutes until I meet my soulmate! I see the second counting down, distracting me from the book I was reading. I wonder what they're like. I already have quite a few lines on my wrist. By that I mean my left wrist is completely covered in marks. Luckily I know my soulmate has none that they'd have to cover up with make up or hide with long sleeved shirts.

Two minutes! The anticipation is killing me! I try to force myself to keep reading, but to no avail.

One minute! I get up and walk around one of the bookshelves next to me. I was in the biography section, since I had to do a project on the founding fathers. I choose Lin-Manuel Miranda, because of my favorite musical, Miranda: An American Musical. I was just trying to read the biography by Ron Chenrow, the one that inspired the musical, but my timer was distracting me.

Ten seconds! I noticed a short man with his black hair pulled back into a ponytail, who was looking at the books about Christopher Jackson, our first president. I walk over to him, maybe he's a fan of Miranda too!

"Hello!" I surprise him

"Hi!" Both of our timers go off.

"Wait! Today?! Today was the day I was supposed to meet my soulmate? You're my soulmate? No, that can't be! You're WAY out of my league! I wish I would've known that this would be today! I would have worn something other than this Iron Man t-shirt." The man ranted.

"Hey, chill out! It's okay! Can I at least get your name or maybe your number?" I said hopefully.

"Uhh, yeah, right! Alexander Hamilton, at your service!" He bowed and kissed my hand.

"(Y/n) (L/n)," I said, returning the bow.

"So, uh, how do you feel about going out for coffee?"

"I was working on a school project but that can wait."

"Oh, what is the project?"

"We have to do a report on one of the founding fathers."

"Wait, are you in Mr.Washington's advanced U.S. history class?"

"Yeah, are you?"

"Yep! I'm in his first period, and you?"

"Third."

"So, who are you doing your project on?"

"Lin-Manuel Miranda, the first secretary of treasury! Before you ask, yes I'm a huge fan of the musical."

"What? No way, so am I! I'm doing my project on Chris Jackson."

"Yay! Another fan! What's your favorite song?"

"The Groff Pamphlet, you?"

"(insert your favorite Hamilton song here but make it for Miranda: the American Musical)"

"Oh yeah! That's a good one!"

"So about that coffee?"

★★★

Three years later, we have just finished our first year of college. The marks still appear. I know he's cheating on me, but I decide not to confront him.

Then one day. My phone was blowing up with messages as I woke up. I didn't understand any of them, until I saw what happened. Alexander had written about the multiple affairs he had and posted it on all of his social media accounts. I read in horror about how he had cheated on me with so many people, so many of them I considered my friends.

John Laurens, he was as good as my brother, Alex had been with him multiple times. Maria Reynolds, was my cousin, her brother (in this case James is her brother) forced her to go to Alex and have him cheat on me. Two of the Schuyler sisters, Angelica and Eliza, I thought I could trust them. They were both told to have done it multiple times. Even Lafayette and Hercules. He did say that they were drunk, but it was also more than once. Even some of his worst enemies, Thomas Jefferson, and Aaron Burr (at least Burr was only once, and besides they were drunk). I'll never let him live this down.

A/n- So yeah, that's all I got for this one! Thanks for reading!
