Robyn lay in the grass with a young curly haired boy by her side, daisy chains surrounding them.
"newt will look so good in this" she chuckled
"That's if he even tries it on Rob" he laughed
The pair had spent the afternoon together enjoying the sun in the glade. Robyn adored the young boy and was almost protective over him like a young brother.
Chuck was a sweet boy, who was shy until you knew him like Robyn did. The pair bonded as soon as Chuck came alone in the box like every other shank in the glade. They were inseparable.
"Rob?"
"Yes chuck"
"Do you like being the only girl?"
She sighed as she rolled over to face the freckle covered boy.
"what brings you to say that?" she questioned
Surprisingly, he had never asked that question before. Minho and Fry probably warned him not to ask. But is was Chuck who was asking the question so she didn't seem to care.
"Hmm.... i just wanted to know if you ever felt lonely" His eyes wrinkled as the sun shone on the glade.
The girl sighed before starting, "Sometimes. But it makes me feel special in some way you know, like i'm different and there must be a reason for it"
He nodded.
"Sometimes i feel the same, with me being the youngest. Maybe we were both pu- "
Before he could finish the greenie alarm rang through the glade.
"Hold that thought chucky boy, the box is coming up" she said as she jolted up from the grass.
She began to ruffle his curly hair,
"And that means you're being promoted"

The pair ran past the map room and towards the box. Most of the gladers were already there, waiting in anticipation. In the crowd she spotted her favorite blonde. Worming her way through the crowd , she found herself next to Newt.
"Hey Newt, new greenie?"
"Hey love, yeah and guess what?"
"It's a girl" she said sarcastically
Newt sent her a smile before placing his hand on her shoulder,
"One day, you won't be the only one" he reassured
She looked up at him softly before setting her eyes onto the box that Gally opened, revealing the new greenie.
