"THOMAS!" Robyn cried.
Alone in the maze was not how she wanted to be. Amid the madness of running away from a griever, her and Thomas were separated.
She jogged around the dark corridors, looking for any sight of Minho or Thomas. Her legs were aching and her lungs were burning as she rushed her way around.
As she ran, her foot became tangled some ivy which covered the floor. It pulled her legs down, causing her body to fall down. She landed on her ankle and a pain shot through it. She cried as it rushed up her leg.
Her back was now rested on the walls, as she stared down at her ivy tangled foot. She reached to her waistband, pulling out a pocket knife and began slicing the thick, green plant. With great difficulty, she finally sliced it off, freeing her leg.
Her head pushed back onto the wall, a single tear falling down her face. Her thoughts were set on the glade and her friends, especially her favourite blonde haired boy. She just wanted to be in his arms, feel them around her. When they were together she felt safe, she felt home. He understood her the most, and she understood him. They fit together.
His smile was all she could think about, his gorgeous smile. How his face lit up when she was around him. How they shared so many laughs together and how he was her shoulder to cry on when life became tough.
Over the last couple of months, their friendship had become stronger. They were the closest they had ever been. She truly loved him.
Whenever she was with him, butterflies erupted in her stomach. Nerves rushed through her. Why would she feel that around her best friend?
Then that's when she realised, her true feelings. The secret joy she felt when they woke up next to each other after the bonfire. The way she acted, was to cover up her happiness inside. He couldn't know how she really felt deep down. She liked him, more than a friend, but she couldn't ruin their strong friendship.
And now she was going to die, without telling him how she felt .
Sadness and anger filled her body as she attempted to stand up. Her foot floated above the floor. Slowly, she lowered it, placing her body weight on it.
Pain shot up her leg, tears rushing down her face.
"AHHHHH!" Her fist collided with the stone in anger.
Blood oozed out her knuckles as they scraped against it. Her other hand held onto the wall, keeping her steady.
The shrieks of grievers could be heard around her, she had to move.
She jogged with a limp as she pushed through the agony she was feeling. When she went around a corner her body collided with someone else, nearly sending her flying into a wall.
