The rain had stopped and now the gladers had collected outside the stone walls. Waiting.
The two boys still had not arrived back. Robyn's heart was thumping in her chest. No one said a word, they just watched for any sight of the runners.
Robyn ran her shaky hand down her braids. Panic had took over her body, her feet tapping the ground. She was stood next to Thomas who also looked in the same state. They were both eager to do something, but they felt helpless.
'click clack'
The doors were going to shut any minute now.
"Come on guys, can't we send anyone out?" Thomas faced the group.
Gally who was crouched to the far right muttered a reply, "It's against the rules" His eyes never left the opening, "They either make it back or they dont"
"We can't risk loosing anyone else" Newt added.
