"Things are changing," Gally addressed the crowded Homestead, where a gathering had been called ,"There's no denying that. First ben gets stung in broad daylight and then Alby"
Robyn was sat facing all the other gladers, Thomas by her side. Minho was to the far left sending her reassuring looks. She would smile weakly back at him.
"And now our greenie and Robyn ,who has been here one of the longest" He shot her a dirty look,"Have taken it upon themselves to go into the maze"
Thomas' hand reached for Robyn's and gave it a tight squeeze.
Robyn eyes found her way to Newt, who hadn't spoke a word to her after their argument. He was slumped on a beam which supported the roof of the Homestead. He was faced away from the pair.
"Which is a clear violation of our rules here!" Gally said sternly.
"Yeah but they saved Alby's life. Robyn even injured herself out there" Fry commented.
Robyn sent him a grateful look, which he smiled weakly in return.
"Did They?" Gally mocked.
Robyn had noticed Newt was getting more and more aggravated. It looked like he was stopping himself from saying something.
"For three years we have coexisted with these things!" He spun to face Thomas,pointing at him,"And now you have killed one of them,"
His words made Robyn's blood boil, it was enough to make her say something. Her hand smacked down on the plank in front of her.
"Coexisted? Are you serious? Them things they have killed a lot of boys in here, i know because i've been here long enough. I don't know who you think you are Gally, but you're not in charge. To be totally honest, you shouldn't even be doing this meeting, Newt is second in command!"
Newt glanced over at the sound of his name. Robyn's face was red due to anger.
"And Thomas, he saved us, not only Alby but me and Minho. If he didn't run in, we would be dead!" She lashed,"I'm sorry you don't have the balls to do what he did, i'm sorry you're a pitiful excuse of a man" She remained stood up, breathing heavily. Thomas was wide eyed beside her, Newt staring at her. Chuck enjoyed her words and all the other boys were gawking,
"Shucking eye brow man" she mumbled as she sat back down, her feet tapping the floor.
Her words caused Thomas to splutter, trying to hide his amusement.
Gally began chuckling to himself .
"Someone got your knickers in a twist" A boy said in the crowd.
A few of the gladers laughed at the comment,Newt however got defensive.
"Whoever just laughed, leave. We won't have them comments being accepted in here. She's been here longer than most of you. She isn't any different, just a girl. So leave"
