"Private (L/n) where are you going at 8 at night", I jumped and turned as sarge stood looking at me.
I quickly thought of a response as he stared at me.
"Im insepcting the base sir", i said and he nodded.
"Listen magets, private (l/n) here is ready to defend this base agasint them dirty blues. Yall should follow her example with repect", sarge shouted and my other teammates both nodded.
Grif, most likly rolled his eyes, and walked away while simmoms nodded,"ok sir i understand".
I slowly walked away as simmons and sarge talked, hoping the wouldnt notice mt absense.
Carefully i walked up the cliff and took a secret trail to were my blue solider sat looking off.
"What took you so long", i heard church say, as i sat beside them.
"Sarge caught me and i had to make an excuss to get away", i mumbled and rested my head on his shoulder.
We sat for a few minutes in a conforabtle silence as the stars flcikers above.
"Tuckers been annoying as hell today", church said and i looked up to him.
Chruch wasnt wearing his helemt,like me, and i could see the way his eyes were focused on something in the distance.
"Just ignore tucker", i told him and church laughed,"i wish it was that easy".
Church lighty grabbed my thigh and montied for me to straddle him.
I did that and church put his hands on my armored thighs, rubbing them softly.
"I wish i could make it better", i mumbled and he put his hand under my chin, making me look at him.
"You really do make it better just being here and putting up with my bullshit", he said and i chuckled.
I leaned down and planted mt lips on his, savoring this moment.
Yea, we lived in a box canyon and the only time we would be able to see each other was if we were fighting or nights like these on our cliff.
But i would take this over anything.
