이에요/예요 = to be

Sentence Structure:

In english, the sentence structure is:
[Subject] + [to be] + [Object]

In korean, the sentence structure is:
[Subject] + [Object] + [to be]

Now what's the difference between 이에요 and 예요?

-이에요 is used with a word that ends with a consonant
E.g: 저 학생이에요; I am a student.

-예요 is used with a word a word that ends with a vowel
E.g: 저 미나예요; I am Mina.

Example:

◎물이에요 = Its water.

◎가방이에요 = Its a bag.

◎학교예요 = Its a school.

◎저예요 = Its me.

◎그 포도예요 = Those are grapes.

◎이 커피예요 = This is coffee.

Vocabulary:

가방 - bag

학교 - school

So now you can introduce yourself as well.
저는 지민이에요 = I am Jimin.
저는 학생이에요 = I am a student.
저는 선생님이에요 = I am a teacher.

Also, remember that you can't emit -요 in this case. 요 is a necessary part of it.
