All verbs in korean end with the particle -다. For example: 하다, 자다, 가다, 먹다, 보다, 읽다 etc.
To make a sentence with present tense, we need to add some particles in place of -다. These particles are:
                              > 아요
> 어요
> 여요
                              Explanation:
                              1) If a verb (after removal of -다) ends with ㅏ or ㅗ , we add 아요 to it.
                              Result:
가 + 아요 = 가요 = go
자 + 아요 = 자요 = sleep
보 + 아요 = 봐요 = see
                              2) If a verb (after removal of -다) ends with any other vowel or consonant except ㅏ or ㅗ , we add 어요.
                              Result:
먹 + 어요 = 먹어요 = eat
읽 + 어요 = 읽어요 = read
                              3) If a verb (after removal of -다) is 하 , we add 여요. Remember that this rule is only used for 하다.
                              Result:
하 + 여요 = 하여요 → 해요 = do
