How to say "me/you" in korean?
Me = 저/나
저 is formal
나 is informal
And
You = 너/당신/그대
너 is informal
당신 is used with someone you love or you're close to or with someone whom you are angry at.
그대 is a poetic way of saying "you". Its used in lyrics and poetries
Now you'd be wondering, how do we say "you" formally?
In korean, you don't usually say "you" to people you are supposed to be formal with.
You say their title. Like 선생님 = teacher.
For example:
학생: 안녕하세요 선생님
선생님: 안녕하세요.(학생 = student)
Let's make little conversations from words we have learnt.
You: 저기요!
Lady at the counter: 네?
You: 커피 주세요.
Lady at the counter: 네!You can use 아메리카노/포도 주스/오렌지 주스 instead of 커피 as well. We have learnt all those in the past.
A: 저 갈게요. (I'll get going)
B: 당신 왜요? (Why?)
A: ....tells the reason
B: 오케이 (okay)
A: 응 이따 봐요!That's it for today~
안녕♡
