62. Dark Forest

"Where are you bring me to?"

"To show you the world babe."

"Jay. I did not give you any permission to babe me. I'm just here with you coz you promised me you will make some sense to me."

"That I will surely make it happen Tae."

"Taehyung. I prefer you to address me as Taehyung."

Jay rolled his eyes and continued to drive. Taehyung remained unbothered. The brown head can't even justify his action aside from blaming it on the desperate need to break the lies he was being circulated with.

It was Jay, his newfound friend in Shadow College who called him at the time when he was rushing towards Namjoon's desperate yell for Jungkook. The phone conversation was short but precise to catch the brown head's attention.

"Didn't I warn you that they will try to hide more things from you Taehyung?" said Jay as he continued to steer the wheel on his hand. He was speeding but Taehyung didn't seem to notice as the brown head continue to lose himself among the symmetrically aligned trees, each reaching the blue sky, towering over their car.

"Perhaps you want to enlighten me how are you part of this story?" Taehyung turned his head towards Jay, as the male continued to drive with a smug look.

"We are reaching in about 30 minutes, I will tell you once we have arrived at our destination."

"Are you sure you're not bullshitting and kidnapping me somewhere so you can get some ransom?"

Jay burst out laughing at the brown head's sarcastic remark. He couldn't help but feel excited about the whole drama that will unfold when he finally breaks the truth to Taehyung.

"Oh, just you wait sweetheart. You will be entertained."

"Taehyung. Call me by my name, I will not repeat it." Tae crossed his arms and turned his head back to the wilderness passing by, bringing them deeper into the forest which engulfed their presence into a semi-dark mode, greeting them with nothing.

I hope I don't regret choosing to come with him. Taehyung closed his eyes and hoped for the best. While he was at it, he can't help but envision how frantic his brother and Jungkook will be when they can't find him at the mansion.

Taehyung needed the truth and if Jay can provide that, then so be it.

"We are right here Taehyung. You wanna get down from the car?"

The brown head's concentration was broken by Jay pulling up the handbrake and releasing his seat belt.

"I thought you said we have 30 more minutes?"

"I guess Jungkook is not the only smart and fast one. I can arrive at the dark forest faster than he calculated." Jay chuckled and got down from the car, moving towards Tae's side.

Taehyung did not like how Jay is belittling Jungkook in front of him. He didn't appreciate how arrogant Jay is looking, unlike how he was on the first day he enrolled in Shadow College. Tae ensured to keep his toes on alert, to not fully depend on Jay.

Isn't it a little late to not trust the man you ran away with in exchange for some truth? Well, let's hope that for now, Taehyung will be safe and it won't be long until the head alpha traces his lost mate.

Jay watched Taehyung's face as it lite up with confusion and doubts.

Too late babe. Too late to be feeling confused and doubtful. Jay watched and snickered as Taehyung joined him by his side.

"Let's go, we have to walk a little from here. Meanwhile, I will fill you in with the truth you're dying to know." The blond male started to walk ahead, hearing the crunching sound of twigs with each footstep he took with Taehyung tailing behind him.
