The Original Pheonix summoner that can create a ball of fire, light things up, or can make fire wings appear on your back whenever you want to? Yeah, no. It isn't like that for Irina she can't use her powers when ever she wants, they come out by her emotions.

She doesn't like leaving her room, she just wants to stay in there all day and pretend she doesn't exist. The only time she leaves her room is to eat and train that's it. She'd rather bury herself in books and just read all day. Reading is her comfort it makes her feel at peace not having to worry about what's going on outside.

People including the grisha's fear for what she is, She doesn't like being feared, People look at her as if she's been cursed by the saints or came from hell, it's terrible. It's terrible to live knowing that there's people that fear you for being what you are. It's not she like wanted to be a Phoenix in the first place.

All she ever wanted wanted was to live a normal life and be with her friends again back in Ketterdam. She misses Kaz and Inej dearly, at the age of ten she was tested by Grisha Examiners and as soon as they found out she was grisha she was immediately taken to the Little palace, her friends had to watch her get dragged away from them leaving them heartbroken no matter how hard they tried to grab her away. Irina prays to the saints every night that she could one day somehow escape the palace return to her beloved friends.

That's when Alina Starkov showed up to the little palace everything changed. The sun summoner that can take down the fold. The summoner that everyone loves and will worship.
