FLASHBACK,

Manik struggled to open his eyes due sudden brightness after the dark night. He woke up due to the lights of sun rays but his reality instantly engulfed him into the darkness when he found himself alone in that big bedroom , devoid of his people whom he loved like anything. His beautiful life suddenly turned into the living nightmare where there is only darkness.

Getting up from bed he looked everywhere in mansion trying to find similar faces and finally he found his mother sitting on her bed , hugging herself and keeping her head down on her knees. She looked exhausted and hopeless.

"Mom" sitting in front of her he called her but she didn't looked up.

"Mom what happened ?....... Are u fine?......Say something u r scaring me ....... And where is everyone ?" He was getting worked up seeing her like this.

"They left " looking at him she spoke and he went numb . And he was more angry on them to feel sad for it but he never thought they will leave him alone .

"When u were unconscious last night that time ur grand parents left saying they can't see hatred for them in ur eyes and that's why they didn't even waited for u to get ur consciousness back ........ But before that they took promise from me to never leave this mansion and  I couldn't denied as they asked me to take it as their last wish , they also left this file nd letter for u " she forwarded file nd letter to him . The way her voice was trembling due to her constant crying in a same way his hands were shivering while taking that file nd letter.

"And what about him ?" Manik hesitated to ask but may be little child in him was still trying to find his lost father.

"Nothing...... He just left leaving nothing behind except his broken child nd that child's helpless mother" grief in her tranquil words again broke the final hopes of that broken child, mercilessly. And now this time his father lost his son forever.

"Anyways , how r u ?....... Is ur head is paining?" Changing the subject purposely she tried to behave normal.

"Noo...... I am fine" he answered curtly.

"No u r not.....Go get ready , I will arrange breakfast u have to take medicines " saying so she started getting up from bed but he held her hand firmly.

"I want to read the letter first" he made a decision and she respected that.

I know whatever we did was unforgivable mistake or may be it was a sin. We ruined ur mother's life for our selfish reasons. I know u will be hating us now and I don't have justification for our deeds too. But trust us , we love u , we love u both equally .We did injustice with Neyonika by caging her but we never treated her less than our own daughter , the day we came to know about ur father's deed we were also broken , it was hurtful for us too . But that time more than pain of us we cared about our reputation in society. I know this generation of urs never cared about what people will say but for us our reputation was more valuable for us than life too. So we hid this dirty secret of ur father in front of world, we never allowed ur parents for divorce and U were the only reason who kept their relationship alive. We were selfish Manik , we couldn't let you go away from us . U were pride of Malhotra's and way too precious for us to let you go with ur mother. We not only were orthodox but our minds were caged inside that zone of the society so we didn't even allowed ur mother to pursue her dreams and join buisness. We restricted her from working because it was inappropriate for our family's name that our daughter in law is working . And there we did sin we killed her hopes nd we made her helpless because she never asked anything apart from that . But the hope nd perseverance in her eyes for working and doing something unusual never let me be in peace. And we are criminals because when we started realising whatever we r doing is wrong that time also we didn't took any action, we were busy in our own world with You and she was also there we thought she is happy but we failed to see emptiness around her in her life , she was alone . I know it's too late but I wanted to redeem my mistakes so I have shifted all our Indian buisness on her name , she is the owner of Malhotra Industries and I hope she will get what she deserved and will keep it safe , I was always aware of her capabilities and she will be best for our business. If u ever loved us then I am beginning you, don't leave Malhotra mansion it will keep my mind sane that u r safe in our shield , no matter we live together or not but our blessings will always be with you .
