"What is this brand? It smells really nice," Komori comments, sniffing his hands after rubbing hand sanitizer on it. "What?" Sakusa asks, looking at his cousin.
"Your hand sanitizer. What brand is it? It smells nice- Wait, it's personalised!" Komori exclaims as he reads the sticker pasted onto the bottle.
Sakusa snatches the bottle from his cousin's grip. "Go away," he says, shoving the bottle into his jacket's pocket.
"It's just hand sanitizer! And don't think I didn't see the 'Omi Omi'!" Komori teases, nudging his furiously blushing friend. "You haven't told me much about the cafe outing. Now is a perfect time to do so. Now, spill or else I'll ask Mr Miya myself."
Sakusa squints at Komori. "You wouldn't dare."
"I do dare! Just watch me later on!" Komori says, grinning at Sakusa, who frowns behind his mask.
"Do you want to die?" Sakusa asks, shaking his head. "I'm already dying due to the lack of details about your cafe date," Komori dramatically says, clutching his chest as they walk.
"Firstly, it wasn't a date," Sakusa corrects. "But you took him to the beach? Actually, you went to the beach where you said you would never ever go to again," Komori says.
Sakusa scoffs. "Things change."
"People change, not things."
"And right now, I'm changing into a murderer."
"What did you do at the beach?"
"Dance."
"In the tent?"
"Yes."
"Theme?"
"Romance and K-pop."
Komori lets out a gasp. "Do you realize that that theme suited you and Mr Miya well?" he gushes, causing other people to cast glances in their way. Sakusa lowers his head into his jacket before smacking Komori's arm.
"If you don't shut up, I see an empty alleyway 2 meters away and I'm not afraid to commit murder there," Sakusa threatens.
"You're such a narcissist! Anyway, what else?" Komori asks. "We uh... we hugged," Sakusa mutters, causing Komori to gasp. "You what?" he asks.
"Hugged," Sakusa replies, blushing and looking down.
"Kiyoomi Sakusa, the world's coldest and isolated man, hugged someone?" Komori asks, his eyes wide. Sakusa rubs the back of his neck. "It just happened," he replies, shrugging.
Komori's shocked expression fades and is replaced by a look of mischief. "Just confess already! You like that dude!" he says, elbowing Sakusa.
Sakusa blinks. "Wakatoshi was there. At the beach," he says. Komori's eyes fly open once again. "And? Did you two talk?" he asks.
"Hear me out. I like Atsumu. In fact, I think about him to the extent that I can't just say 'I like him'. I think I love him, Komori," Sakusa replies.
There.
He said it.
He said his feelings; his real feelings, for Miya Atsumu. He can't type it and then delete it so he won't be able to send it. He said what he'd been deleting or muttering, so Atsumu wouldn't hear it.
"Then flipping tell him," Komori says. "What if he doesn't feel the same? Like Waka-" "Atsumu is not Wakatoshi," Komori firmly interrupts.
Atsumu isn't Wakatoshi.
Atsumu has a bright smile that Wakatoshi doesn't. Atsumu can dance and Wakatoshi can't. Atsumu loves OSTs as much as Sakusa does. Atsumu can easily start a conversation and Wakatoshi can't.
Atsumu isn't Wakatoshi.
"Kiyoomi, you're going to walk into the door if you don't look where you're going," Komori says, cutting off Sakusa's train of thought.
"Oh. Right," Sakusa says, before opening the doors to the arena of the camp.
The pair enters, and bright lights blind them upon stepping in. The walls are blue, and the wooden floor is polished to the extent that it's shining.
Some are already talking and practicing.
"Omi Omi!"
Sakusa and Komori turn to see a smiling Atsumu making their way toward them.
Sakusa blinks. Atsumu is dressed the same way as Dream Atsumu back at the empty cafe, where he had apparently died.
Atsumu happily makes his way towards Sakusa, and Sakusa can't help but smile.
Atsumu isn't Wakatoshi.
"Atsumu," Sakusa says.
He's Sakusa's crush.
