He was green.
Not because he reeked of jealousy or greed, but because he carried everything but those traits.
He had this strange relationship with nature, with the life he lived. He was so content and positive with life, it almost scared Nari. How could anyone be so happy?
So she found him weird. He was the weirdest person she knew.
"Where are you taking me?" She asked, as the boy danced with the branches above him.
Changmin wasn't exactly her friend, more so someone she associated with from time to time. They met when she found him skipping class when she was going to class. She scolded him as they sat together, and he was truly the only thing that got her through the hour.
"You have to relax," he says calmly, making Nari roll her eyes at how zen the boy could be at times. "Don't you trust me?"
"Should I?" She tilts her head, nonetheless, she walked with him.
"Well we skip classes together, we're going to fail the class together," he rambles. "I think you should trust me."
"Skipping class together equals trust," Nari motions with her hand as though she was working out an equation, earning a scoff from Changmin which came out more like a bark - although she wouldn't be surprised if it was.
She followed the boy further into the trees. Anyone else would have been creeped out by not, well she was, but Changmin was too peaceful for her to even be remotely concerned.
"Voila!" He exclaims, as the girl looks on unimpressed.
"Where are we?" She asks, looking around at the nothingness. "Is there supposed to be something interesting here?"
The boy scoffs yet again, rolling his eyes at the girl before walking again. "Yes, me. Not you."
"Rude."
"If you must know," he says, spreading his arms out as he spun lightly on his feet. "This is the part of the woods where my mother and father first met."
"Oh," was all Nari could say, looking at the boy confused. "And you brought me here... why?"
"Don't feel too special," he says whilst rolling his eyes yet again.
"If you keep doing that with your eyes they'll stick in the back of your head."
"With a little bit of luck," he shrugs, as the girl pulls a confused face. "I'd look really spooky and weird, it would creep people out."
"You like scary things?" She asks, looking shocked.
"I love scary things," Changmin smiles and nods. "Why else would I want to hang about the woods?"
"Your parents met in the woods, but how?" Nari asks as the two walked through the wood path.
"Your guess is as good as mine," he laughs. "They spared me the details."
