You wake up the next morning and make yourself a cup of coffee, putting a truck load of creamer in it. You like your coffee extra sweet, hating the taste of bitterness. You sit at your desk in the living room and start to write ideas for your lesson plan for the criminal behavior class. You're very excited, your head full of ideas for what to include in your lesson, and it didn't hurt that you are somewhat of a true crime fan. You thought you could use some notorious criminals as examples in your lesson. You are usually a socially awkward person, but when you present data or educate you feel confident and full of purpose. You decide to do your lesson on behaviorism. You begin to write in your notebook:

Behavior in humans and animals is either a reflex evoked by the pairing of certain antecedent stimuli in the environment, or a consequence of that individuals history.

You love writing psychology papers. It makes you extremely happy because you're so passionate about it. You continue to write down the rest of your lesson, already coming up with ideas for your slideshow presentation. It takes you about two and a half hours to finish the whole thing, but looking over it you feel very proud. It's clean, thorough, and you worked hard on it. You can't wait to hear Professor Davis's thoughts on it, hoping her students will learn something new and that she would put in a good word with your superiors. That could be enough to get you a promotion, going from an intern to a registered psychologist. You don't actually have a PhD in psychology, but you've been told your double major in sociology and astounding work and understanding of the subject could possibly get you the job.

After working tirelessly for two and a half hours you turn off your computer and go into your room to put on some pajamas. You told Cecilia about Professor Davis's teaching invitation when she came over last night, so you decide to text her and tell her that you finished your presentation.

Ugh, I finally finished my lesson presentation. It took me a whole 2 and a half hours :(

                                                                             5:37
Damn girl, you have a long attention span. I probably would've given up halfway and watched some Greys Anatomy. You KNOW how much I hate writing things. I'm proud of you <3

Her text make you smile a little.

5:37
Thanks babe. I'm about to get in the shower, I'm exhausted and it's only 5:40

                                                                             5:38
You're turning into an old lady, and I cannot stand by and let that happen. What if you meet a hot guy in Williamsburg??

5:39
I seriously doubt I'll meet a hot guy at my old college campus. Thanks for the thought though

The world is unpredictable y/n, never rule out possibilities

You would never describe Cecilia as a wise person, but that last text made you think a little. Not that you would meet a special someone at William and Mary, but who knows? Maybe you will make a friend or discover new work connections. As you step into the hot shower you continue to think about the words she had sent. She insisted that you two get makeovers before you left for Williamsburg, but you declined knowing that you need to focus on work and getting sleep. There is nobody there that you need to impress. Mr. Right probably wouldn't be hanging around a college campus with a bunch of 20 year olds.

But you should never rule out possibilities.

This chapter was a little short, but you know what that means... SPENCER COMES SOON!!
Also, I don't want to plagiarize but for some reason the link isn't pasting, sooo if you just look up "behaviorism wikipedia" then that's where I found the info about the smart stuff the reader wrote down for her lesson lol
Thank you to everyone reading my story, it means a lot and I love looking through your comments. Merry Christmas! ❤️🎄
