Home Again Pt. 2

Back in DC

You and Spencer finally get out of the airport at around 3:00 pm. The plane ride back was long, but you slept for a lot of it so you aren't as tired as you thought you'd be. You're excited to get home though.
Spencer orders an Uber to take you back and you wait anxiously on the bench for it to arrive.

"Ok, now that we're home tell me your favorite part of the trip." Says Spencer. He's wearing his sweatpants and a hoodie. He didn't think much about his outfit since you were up so early to get to the airport.

"Obviously the proposal." You say. He smiles.

"Of course, but I mean activity wise."

"The luau and the snorkeling. The reefs we saw were beautiful." You say. "What about you? I'm guessing the volcanoes?"

"Without a doubt." He says. "But I did enjoy the snorkeling too, and the luau. The best part was just being with you."

You smile and lean on his shoulder. You sit there with him until a black Nissan pulls up in front of you. You two pack your bags into the trunk and sit in the back.

"Welcome back to DC!" Says the driver. She looks young, maybe in her twenties. "There's some complimentary water bottles if you want it."

"Thank you." You say. You and Spencer both grab one and take a sip. You haven't had a drink of water in a long time, so it feels nice when it runs down your throat. You sit back and look out the window as you drive home, Spencer holding your hand the whole way. You get a burst of excitement as you pull up to the entrance of your apartment building. You step out of the car and Spencer takes out both of your bags from the trunk and waves to the driver. He says thank you and opens the door for you as she drives away.

You rush to the door of your apartment and scramble for your keys. Spencer appears beside you and reaches for your hand.

"Wait." He says. You look up at him and stop digging through your purse. "I just want to say that before we go inside, I love you so much."

You give him a confused look. "Ok..." You say as you smile and resume looking for the keys. "I love you too."

You finally find your keys and try to ignore Spencer standing next to you, obviously trying to hide a smile. You unlock the door and swing it open.

"SURPRISE!"

You gasp as Cecilia, Krsytall, Savannah, Will, and the whole BAU team stands in your living room. They all smile and laugh as you take in the crowd, unable to speak. You look up at Spencer and smile wider.

"Did you do this?" You ask.

"Yeah, it's why I had to talk to Cecilia." He says. "But they don't know why they're here."

"Yes, so please tell us so I can stop guessing!" Says Penelope. "Cecilia won't tell me and I'm on the brink of a complete meltdown."

"Seriously y/n, you should've seen her." Says JJ. "At one point she thought you were going to reveal that you and Spencer are moving to Europe."

You laugh and look back at Penelope.

"I'm sorry, I have to be prepared for any possibility." She says.

"But seriously pretty girl, tell us because we're all dying to know." Says Derek. You look up at Spencer who stays silent. He obviously wants you to break the news. You look back at all of them and smile. You then raise your right hand and show off the ring.

In the blink of an eye, everyone in the room yells and comes rushing towards you. Penelope is the first to almost tackle you with a big hug. She's speaking so fast that you can't understand her and you laugh as your arms wrap around her. Next is Derek, and he and Savannah congratulate you as they both give you a quick but sweet hug. JJ and Will go next, then Emily, Hotch, and David and Krystall.
