Six Months Later

You look in the mirror anxiously. You analyze every aspect of your appearance. Your dress is clean and smooth, your hair is groomed and beautiful, and your makeup is flawless. It almost angers you that you can't find anything wrong with it.

"Y/n, are you ready?" Says Cecilia. You look back at her and take a deep breath. You want to lie and say yes but you start to feel overwhelmed.

"No." You say. You sit down at the vanity and try to calm yourself down by taking deep breaths. Cecilia rushes to your side and holds your hand.

"Y/n, listen to me." She says. You look at her and squeeze her hand. "You got this. You look beautiful, and you and Spencer love each other. The wedding will be perfect, and afterwards you two get to go to Greece! How amazing is that?"

You smile and feel yourself calm down.

"Now come on. Everyone is ready, and it will go so smoothly. You've been waiting for six months and we are not about to have a runaway bride."

You laugh and stand up with her. You smooth out your dress and smile at her.

"Thank you for calming me down." You say.

"Of course. It's my job as your maid of honor." She says. "And you look stunning, by the way."

You look down at your dress. It's a short sleeved off the shoulder dress with a medium-sized hoop skirt. The torso part of the dress is lacy and slightly transparent, and the skirts hem has matching details. You fell in love with it as soon as you saw it.

"Thank you." You say. "Now let's go, I'm guessing David is waiting for me?"

"Yep." She says. You two interlock arms as you walk out of your room and towards the start of the aisle. You and Spencer decided to get married at Enid A Haupt Garden. It's beautiful in the spring time, specifically because of the cherry blossom trees. Spencer insisted on holding the wedding at nighttime but you're not sure why. Of course he said it was a surprise.

You walk up to David who's standing behind a large bush to prepare walking you down the aisle. He offered to do it for you since your real dad can't, and you found it very touching. Joy didn't mind at all and insisted you let him do it. You got teary eyed at their compassion and agreed. He smiles at you as you get closer to him.

"Cara, you look beautiful." He says. You blush.

"Thank you David. And thank you for doing this."

"Of course. I wouldn't want it to be anybody else."

You smile and interlock arms with him. Cecilia gives you one last hug before rushing up to the alter to stand with Penelope, JJ, and Emily. You peek out of the corner and see them standing there. They're all wearing matching emerald green dresses and they look beautiful. You can't see Spencer's side of the alter, which makes you nervous for some reason.

"Relax, cara. Everything will go fantastically." Says David. You smile and feel yourself calm down again.

All of a sudden the fairy lights hanging in the pink trees dim. You look up in surprise- you didn't know that was going to happen. Then you hear Kina Grannis's "Can't Help Falling In Love" start to play. You try not to cry as you realize that it's playing. As the intro continues, people sitting on the aisle side stand up and hang tiny lights over the alter. It becomes very difficult not to cry as you remember the scene from "Crazy Rich Asians".
