You and Spencer arrive at the airbnb about an hour after the plane lands, so at around 12:30 am. You're absolutely exhausted but you also can't wait to show Spencer where you're staying.
"Ok, are you ready to see it?" You ask. He gives a slow nod and smiles. You can tell he's just as tired as you are. You walk behind him and cover his eyes.
"Go exactly where I tell you to." You say. He grips his suitcase and nods again, signaling he's ready to walk. You lead him down a small boardwalk.
"I hear wood under my feet, are we staying on a boat?" He asks. You don't answer and continue to walk down with him. Once you get to the door you step back and let out an excited sigh.
"Ok, I'm going to uncover your eyes in three... two... one..."
You lift your hands and watch him marvel at the sight of the house. It's not big, but it's beautiful. The walls are an eggshell white thats accented with a deep brown roof. There are big windows that show the warm lights inside and a patio with lounge chairs.
"This is beautiful." He says. You smile and grab his hand. You two walk inside, which is even more marvelous than the outside. The furniture is colorful and inviting, and there is a big wooden fan hanging over the living room. You walk towards the back of the house and look around the the bedroom. The bed is queen sized with a green comforter and matching accent pillows and a nice wooden dresser with a tv that sits at the front. The curtains are long and opaque, and the big window looks out at the water. The bathroom connected to it has two sinks with a jetted bath and more colorful decor and towels.
"This place is really nice, y/n." Says Spencer as he looks around the room. You place your suitcases next to the dresser and fall onto the bed. You could fall asleep in ten seconds if you tried.
"Thanks, I'm excited to sleep on this bed." You say. Spencer puts down his bags and lays next to you. You're both facing the ceiling with your legs dangling off the side.
"We should probably put more comfortable clothes on though." He says. You sigh and sit up from your position. You walk over to your suitcase and pull out a big t-shirt and your red plaid pants. You sloppily throw your clothes on the floor and change, eager to lay down and sleep comfortably in a bed. You flop on the bed again and pull the covers over your body. You're so comfortable and you can already feel your heart beat start to slow down. Soon after, you feel Spencer's strong hands wrap around your waist as he lays next to you. He presses his body to yours and places his chin near your shoulders. You feel his warm breath and your neck and feel even more comfortable than you did before.
And you were right. It didn't even take a minute for you to fall into a deep, safe sleep.

You wake up the next morning at 10:00. The bed is empty except for you, but you smell something delicious coming from one of the other rooms. You get up and walk into the kitchen. Spencer is standing at the counter with a plastic bag and he's taking out boxes of food. He's fully dressed and has a cup of coffee sitting on the counter next to him.
"What's that?" You ask as you walk towards him. He opens a plastic container with a thick, purple substance inside.
"This is a smoothie bowl with dragonfruit, purple açaí, granola, coconut, and honey. It's called an açaí bowl." He says. Your mouth waters at the ingredients he listed. He opens the other box and you're suddenly hit with a sweet smell. "And these are Malasadas. They're these cinnamon donuts that came from Portuguese immigrants who came to Hawaii to work in the agricultural industry."
You grab one from the box and take a bite. It's so good. "Where did you get these from?" You ask and take another bite.
"A small breakfast place called Leonard's in O'ahu. I ordered it forty-six minutes ago, but it came faster than I expected considering it's a twenty-eight minute drive to O'ahu from where we're staying."
