Hi Again

You wake up the next morning before Spencer. He looks so peaceful that you can't bring yourself to wake him up. You slowly and carefully get up out of your bed and walk into the bathroom. You brush your teeth, do your skincare, get dressed, and make some coffee. While you're in the kitchen you turn on the tv and takes sips from your mug. You have plenty of time before you have to leave for work, so you watch some Fresh Prince and laugh at a sarcastic remark Geoffrey makes.

"Is that James Avery?" Asks a groggy voice behind you. You turn around and see Spencer. His hair is very messy and his face is sunken from drowsiness. He's wearing a light t-shirt and his arms are crossed. You smile at him.

"Yeah that's him. Have you ever seen Fresh Prince?" You ask.

"I've heard of it. James Avery narrated a civil war docuseries episode one time, so I did some research on him after that." He says. You laugh. How else would he know who he is?

"But have you ever watched the show?" You ask. He shakes his head.

"Come watch with me." You say. You scoot over a little and pat the couch.

"I'm going to make some coffee first." He says. You watch him put a Keurig pod into the machine and wait for his mug to fill up. He grabs some sugar from the cabinet and dumps it into the hot liquid. You track his hands as his long fingers wrap around a spoon and he stirs the drink.

"It made me sad when you weren't beside me when I woke up." He says as he walks towards the couch.

"I was going to wake you up when I did but you looked so peaceful." You say back. He smiles and places his coffee on the table. He sits down next to you and pulls you closer to him. You lean on his chest and he wraps his arm around you. You grab the remote and press play.

"Who's that?" He asks pointing to the tv.

"That's Will. He's the main character." You say.

"Who's that?" He asks again.

"That's Carlton, Will's cousin."

"Who's that?"

"Geoffrey, the butler."

"Who's that?"

"If you ask again I might have to pour that coffee all over your lap." You say as you smile.

"I'm just teasing you, no need to get hostile." He says while laughing.

"You may be teasing, but I'm not." You say. He laughs a little more and you nuzzle closer to him. You two watch tv a little longer, and Spencer only smiles when you laugh at something. You check the time after two or three episodes and realize you have to go to work.

"Ok, it's time for me to go." You say. Spencer is still wearing his pajamas. "Do you have to work today?"

He stands up with you as you gather your things.

"Yeah, but I don't have to be at headquarters until later. I forgot to tell you I wouldn't be able to drive you." He says.

"It's ok, I'm capable of driving myself." You say. You put the used coffee mugs in the sink and start towards the door but you're stopped by Spencer. He grabs your waist and turns you around.

"No goodbye kiss?" He says as he smiles down at you. You trail your hands up his shirt.

"I was getting to that, but I had to get my purse." You say. "So impatient doctor."

He smiles even bigger at the words. You grab his head and pull him down to your level. You give him a long passionate kiss and separate from him. He lets his hands slide down your arms as you step away.

"I'll see you later lover boy." You say. "I love you more than words."

He gives another smile. "I love you more than words too gorgeous. I'll see you tonight."

You walk out of the door to your car. When you sit down in the drivers seat you look back at the doors to your apartment building. You already miss Spencer so much. Your thoughts are interrupted by your phone ringing.

"Hello?" You answer.

"Hey wonder girl!" Says a familiar joyous voice. You smile when you hear it.

"Penelope, hi!" You say. Her good mood always puts you in one.

"I was just calling to check on you." She says. "You seemed really nervous last night, but JJ won't tell me anything and Prentiss doesn't know either and Spencer isn't here yet, so I'm hoping you'll show some human decency and quench my aching thirst to know what's going on."

You smile. You start to drive but don't start talking until a few moments after she's done so you can process her words. She talks so fast.

"I needed to talk to JJ about something important, that's why I needed her address." You say.

"Ok but what was it? Why did you sound so panicky and rushed?" She asks. Usually you would find this type of nosiness annoying, but how can you be annoyed at someone like her?

"Penelope I wish I could tell you. But there's a reason JJ didn't." You say. She stays silent for a second until she gasps loudly.

"ARE YOU PREGNANT WITH WONDER BOY'S BABY?" She yells.

"No! Nothing like that!" You say.

"Dang it! I'm out of ideas." She says. "Well, I do have another reason for calling you but I felt the first matter was most important."

You smile to yourself.

"Me and Emily and JJ are going out tonight at the Golden Gate club, you ever been?" She asks.

"Yeah I go there with my friend Cecilia." You say. You realize that you haven't talked to her in forever- you should call her.

"Great! Well we're wondering if you want to go with us. We would love to have you. Plus I need gossip from somebody besides the ladies I work with, no matter how marvelous they are." She says.

"I would love to." You say. "What time?"

"8:00. You can invite your friend if you want to!" She says.

"I'll be there. I can't wait, thanks Penelope."

"Of course sugar cue! Hasta la vista, wear your sluttiest outfit!"

And just like that, she hangs up. You laugh at her last sentence and put your phone in the cup holder. You're actually looking forward to going out with them. You remind yourself to call Cecilia after work to ask if she wants to go. In your head, you think of an outfit to wear. You probably won't wear anything too revealing but you plan to wear something extra nice. You want this memory with the women Spencer work with to be a memorable one.

You can't wait to bond with them and tell Spencer all about it.

Hey babes! Like I said before I'm running out of ideas for authors notes, but I thought I should let you guys know this story is going to be a LONG one. Not too long, but there is definitely going to be a sequel.
