The next day you go grocery shopping for your night with Spencer. You grab some flour, yeast, and kosher salt. You have everything else for the dough at home. For the sauce you get some garlic, chicken broth, onions, oregano, and basil. As for toppings you get an assortment of cheeses, pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, and other meats.

You check out and carry the grocery bags to your car. It's about 2:30, so you have time to get everything ready and tidy yourself up before Spencer gets to your apartment. You spent all morning cleaning it. It took you about two hours, and then you ate lunch and did the grocery shopping. You're exhausted, but it will all the worth it when you get to cook with Spencer.

You get back to your apartment and set the groceries on the counter. You put all of the ingredients where they need to go and wash all of the dirty dishes so you'll have everything you need for tonight. Then, for the first time today, you sit on the couch to relax. You turn on the tv and scroll to a random episode of New Girl, press play, and before you know it you're falling asleep.

You're awaken by your phone ringing. You groggily search for it with your hand until you find it. With your eyes closed you answer.

"Hello?"

"Y/n! Are you free tonight?" Cecilia asks.

"No, I have a date with Spencer." You say. Your voice is raspy and you yawn mid sentence.

"Wow, already? What time are you meeting?" She asks.

"He's supposed to be at my apartment at 5:00." You say as you stand up from your couch.

"Y/n, it's 4:45."

You check the time. Damn it, she's right.

"Shit! I gotta go, I'll talk to you later." You say.

"You better." Is the last thing you hear before you hang up and rush into your room. You fix your hair and pick out an outfit suitable for the occasion. You're wearing a plain orange sweatshirt that you don't mind getting dirty and some jeans. You apply some mascara, and by the time you're done it's 4:55. That's a new record.

You start to take out the ingredients you'll need when you hear a knock at the door. You take a quick look in the mirror and walk towards the front of your apartment. You open the door revealing Spencer standing there with a bouquet of sunflowers. They make you smile.

"Hi." You say.

"Hey." He says back.

You invite him inside and he looks around. You walk back into the kitchen and pull out the rest the ingredients.

"You have a nice place." Says Spencer.

"Thanks." You say. "Oh, I can take the flowers."

You reach into the cabinet over your microwave and pull out a nice clear vase. You fill it with water and cut the stems of the flowers a little bit and place them on the table. You look over at Spencer who's browsing through your bookshelf.

"Thank you for the flowers." You say.

He looks up and smiles. You walk back into the kitchen and pick up your phone. You connect it to your speaker and select a random playlist. You turn it down a little and start to do a little dance almost forgetting that Spencer is there. You look up and blush, noticing him smiling at you.

"Don't mind me." He says. "I thought the dance was cute."

You laugh and walk over to the sink to wash your hands.

"No distractions doctor, we need to start cooking." You say.

He takes his jacket off revealing a colorful sweater. He looks adorable. He walks into the kitchen and rolls up his sleeves to wash his hands beside you. You watch the water run over them. It reminded you of the way his soft hands felt on yours.
