Chapter six

•Liam's POV
Me and frank are in town mucking around and diving for burgers when we notice Riley talking to a man that I recognize as the Record shop owner. The record shop owner has an annoyed look on his face and Riley has a smug look on hers. Me and frank decide to move a bit closer and hide behind a dustbin and hear what's going on.
"So what's it gonna be? You give him his money back or I show this to the police. You choose" Riley says.
The man gives her some money with an annoyed look on his face and passes her some records.
"Pleasure doing business with you" Riley smirks and walks away. Frank gives me a look that says let's go jump up behind her and find out what she was up too. We go up and just as we're about to make her jump she says without even turning around "you boys really need to learn how to be more sneaky." We freeze and she turns around.
"Eyes at the back of your head have you?" I ask
"No just noticed frank staring behind the dustbin."
Frank gives me an apologetic look as I shake my head. "So what were you up too that guy looks way too dodgy." I interrogate
"Came to town to get my guitar strings replaced when I noticed Toby sitting on a bench in a really huffy mood. Went and asked him what's up and he said he went to trade some of his old vintage records for some new ones and the guy gave him some fake illegal pirate copies and took some cash off him as well cause "they're valuable." Course Toby didn't know they were illegal pirate copies and went home and put them into his record player and the second he turned it on they burn the player. He went back to the store and asked for his money and records back but the douche just told him to shove off and kicked him out the store. I told him to give me the pirate records and when I checked the back I immediately knew they were pirates cause of the logo on the bottom and the fake QR code on the back. They also happened to be from a store that got shut down in France for illegal purposes. So I went on the internet and found the details of the store and how they got sold overseas and turns out the guy that works at this place was in France at the time and when the stores was getting shut down and all the records were shoved in piles waiting to get burned he nicked some and came back here to sell them. So I went and threatened him to either give Toby his money and records back or he'll spend the remainder of his life in a prison cell. Naturally the coward gave back the records and the money and that's when I spotted you two."
Me and frank gazed at her and gave her a round of applause. "Didnt take you for a scammer but I'm impressed" I grinned
"Wouldn't exactly say I'm a scammer I just happen to know my way around stuff" she grinned back.
"Wanna come burger diving with us?" Frank asked her hopefully. I shake my head at the idiot that's our scam and he goes sharing it to a crush.
"Nah I'm good I've gotta go get some stuff for Nina then I'm going home catch you both later" and she went off.
