Chapter nineteen

•Riley's POV
We say goodnight before we both go to our own rooms and I'm literally glowing. I cannot believe that just happened. Even though I know it was a one time thing cause there's no way on earth Liam would ever wanna be with me,it still felt so special to me. I lay down on my bed and my mind is rushing and my heart is racing. Honestly my first kiss couldn't have gone any better. I feel a wave of sadness come over me as I realize that it probably meant nothing to him. I kept thinking about it and got so mad at myself for letting a tear drop.
"Drop it Riley" I firmly tell myself as I punch a pillow. He doesn't like you and there's nothing you can do about it. It's normal for friends to kiss.He's your best friend and it's staying that way

No matter how much you want it to be more.
I really really hate my mind. It's always got to overthink every little situation. I keep tossing and turning trying not to make too much noise since Ninas asleep but my mind just won't let me shut down. I decide to text Lydia and tell her what happened.

Lydia: OHHH MY GOSHHH YOU GOT YOUR FIRST KISSS AKDJAKDJSO I TOLD YOU HE LIKES YOU

Riley: Hah I wish. It was just a one time thing.

Lydia: What are you on about?

R iley: Liam doesn't do relationships. And even if he did there's no way he'd want one with me he's way out of my league

Lydia: Are you serious right now? What the heck makes you think that way

Riley: He's a hot guy,he's funny,he always knows how to brighten up the mood,he's a prankster and scammer,determined,strong,smart. Me? I'm just a girl diagnosed with depression and anxiety and overthink everything,have attempted suicide and look like a slug and can't even handle myself. He'd be mad to want to be with me.

Lydia: Listen to me. None of what you said is true. Your suicide attempt,you depression,your anxiety,your scars,all of them are proof that even after all you've gone through you're still here and you're still fighting. You're hot as hell honestly I'm not just saying it cause you're my best friend,it's a plain fact. You never dress up,never wear makeup,never bother with your hair yet look breathtaking 24/7. And Liam knows your story. He knows all you've been through and judging by how he treats you and the fact that he made the first move and the fact that he asked you to go to a concert of a band that he knows your obsessed with,I know he has feelings for you. I haven't even met him and I just know it. And even if he doesn't which is highly unlikely it'd be his loss he'd be missing out big time. Now try and get some rest girl you're on holiday in Milan! You need your sleep night love you xx

Riley: Where would I be without your motivational butt. Night love u more x

I put my phone away and just lay with my thoughts until my eyes start dropping and I fall asleep.

Next morning we go down for breakfast and Liam and I awkwardly smile at each other when we sit down.

•Tracy's POV
By the way that both of them disappeared last night and now they're slightly awkward and glowing,I just know it's happened. And all I gotta say is

•Liam's POV
We say goodnight to each other and oh my god did that really just happen? I kissed her. And she kissed me back. I really don't know what's gotten into me. Didn't I get so annoyed every single time frank would like a girl or get a girlfriend or talk about one? Wasn't I always saying "pranks before romance"? What's gotten into me? At times I wonder if she's real. She makes me feel so different. And tonight, when we were up on the roof together,i felt even more different. I just knew when her sparkling eyes met mine and when I would feel something new in me at her smiles,my feelings for her are getting stronger. And when we finally kissed,I felt fireworks. The way that her soft lips kissed mine was enough to make anyone feel as if heaven was under their feet. But I really wanna know if that kiss meant anything to her. But I don't know how to ask her. I fell asleep and dreamt about exactly what happened tonight. I woke up and had a shower and went down for breakfast. Not gonna lie Italian food slaps. Me and Riley make eye contact as we both sit down and awkwardly smile and I look away praying to the lord above that my face isn't blushing. We all finish breakfast and Mike brings out the list of places to visit and we decide on Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II which is the worlds oldest mall. We arrive and split up into two groups so we can see more of the place faster. Me and frank buy a whole lot of prank items to put back in our secret stash when we go home. Seeing as the mall is so big we stay there for a few more hours before I check the time and see it's 3 o'clock. The concert starts in an hour. I go over and tell Riley and we go and ask Mike.
"You can't go alone to a concert in Milan and I can't leave this lot and neither can Gina."
Ugh
"I'll go with them" Tracy says
"You sure?" Mike asks her surprised
"Yeah I'm a bit of a 1D fan myself and I feel like if Riley will live with the knowledge that she was in the same city as them and didn't get to see them she'll probably bring the ancient Egyptians back to life"
"Okay then. Here take this map." Mike replies
"Uh Mike it's the 21st century we have our phones" Tracy rolls her eyes as we head out the mall and grab a taxi. We arrive and head inside with 10 minutes to spare.

•Riley's POV
Two hours later and oh my god that was unfuckingreal. If I get into details I might genuinely cry but here's how it went summarized ;
-We arrive and our seats are the 10th row from the stage
-They sang night changes,heart attack,story of my life,best song ever,18,midnight memories,you and I
-I genuinely dissolved into tears
-Liam had his arm around my shoulder the whole time
-best fucking night of my life

Seriously god bless Liam for finding those tickets. We're now walking back to the hotel and once we arrive Tracy goes back to her room and me and Liam flop onto the couches in the lobby.
"That was bloody awesome" I sigh
"Tell me about it"
"I'm starving when's dinner" I groan
He checked his watch and sighs "we missed it"
Oh great.
Tracy comes down and says "I'm gonna order some pizza for myself if you two are hungry here's the places number" she says as she throws us a pizza place leaflet and leaves. God bless you Beaker. We order two pizzas and some cola and head up to my room. Ninas in Harry's room so we're alone. We sit down on my bed and we're just on our phones in silence when there's a knock on the door. I get up and open it and it's the pizza delivery guy thank god. I hand him the cash and receive the pizza and drinks from him and closer the door and we sit down on the floor and dig in. Woah this pizza's amazing. But then again we're in Italy. I look up and see Liam's frowning at the window.
"What's up?" I ask with my mouth full of pizza
"Did you see that?" He asks with a frown
"See what"
"I dunno I thought I saw a man staring directly through his window into ours and staring at us"
I frown in confusion and get up and see no one. Either way I close the curtains and sit back down. We finish our pizza and Liam goes and throws out the boxes and bottles while I clean up the dust and grease on the carpet. He comes back and says
"Frank's texted saying he's put the footie on so I'll see you tomorrow yeah?"
"Yeah ok"
"Night" he smiles before leaving.

Damn I love that smile.
