Didnt see it coming || Liam O'donovan

Chapter seven

• Riley's POV
By the time I got my guitar strings,got toby's money and records back,got interrogated by Liam and frank,went and bought some new bits and bobs for Nina,went home,gave Toby his money and records back,did my homework,it was dinner time and we were all sat on the kitchen table eating when Mike brought up the subject of me and Ninas room.
"I think tomorrow you should start decorating you and Nina's room and of course I'll help u if you want"
"We can decorate our room?" I asked confused
"Yeah of course personalize it the way you want so it'll really feel like your space" Mike says through a mouthful of spaghetti.

* Fast forward to after dinner *

It's 8pm and we're all in the lounge. I'm watching some videos on my phone, Sapphires painting her nails, Carmen and tee and Johnny and Toby are playing a board game,lily is with poppy and rosie, Harry and Nina are tied to the hip as usual, Gus is interrogating Mike as usual,and frank and Liam are watching a game on the telly.
To my annoyance my phone dies so I head upstairs to put it on charge,but when I look out of the bedroom window my eyes automatically met a pair of eyes hiding in a bush in the garden. A very familiar pair of eyes. As soon as the person saw that I saw them they automatically disappeared. Talk about fishy. I head downstairs again and go into the kitchen to make the usual hot chocolate for myself and Tracy. As I walk in I see lily in a very bad mood and I ask her what's up.
"Gina says I need to stop being so attached to poppy and rosie like okay why would I stop caring for my blood sisters?" She rolls her eyes
"Tell me about it" I say with a head shake as I take a sip of my hot coco.
"You know I still dunno why you and Nina are here" lily questions
"Oh um I'm not really comfortable talking bout that" I say with a small smile and as I turn around to get a biscuit out of the cupboard I notice a bag of flour positioned to fall onto whichever suspect opens the cupboard door. Then I turn around and notice frank and Liam peeping from behind the door clearly waiting for either me or lily to open it but I notice a bit of flour on Frank's jacket and a bit in Liams hair. I laugh to myself "too easy.
I wink to lily and give her a head nudge and she immediately gets it.
"So um lily do you know where the biscuits are?" I ask
"I think they're in that cupboard." Lily answers
"Oh u mean the one with the flour positioned on it to fall onto someone placed there by frank and Liam."I ask trying so hard not to laugh.
"Ey what makes u think it was us" Liam questions as he walks in with frank.
"I'll lend you my shampoo." I reply
"Huh?"
I walk forwards and dust the flour out of his hair.
He smacks himself on the forehead and I hear him go "damnit" under his breath. "Maybe next time" I say with a wink and head out the kitchen leaving them both frustrated. But I hear a yell and a thud and turn around and see a bag of flour poured onto frank. Seems like poor boy forgot where he set up his own prank.

•Liam's POV
It's morning and I enter the kitchen to a ridiculous stench of paint. I see Mike at the table with buckets of paint and he turns around when he sees me come in "ah Liam I was just saying since we've got to get the paints out anyway for Riley and Ninas room why not have everyone decorate their room do today is going to be redecorating day." Good now I can finally get rid of the pink due to Carmens ex pink palace in my room. We have our breakfast and Mike gives us some sheets to lay in our rooms so nothing gets stained with paint. I choose a grey color for my walls and Frank's helping me get painting since Hes not doing his own room cause he doesn't wanna get rid of his Man-U stuff. We finish after an hour and a half since it was hard to hide the vibrant pink under it and we head down to lunch. After lunch we head into the garden to play some footie when we notice tracy hastily throw some papers into the bin so naturally we go and get the papers out to see what they were. Aaaandd of course Tracy ripped them before throwing away. I hide them in my pocket and we head inside to find some tape to fix them up so we can read them.
"Hey Mike where's the tape" frank asks
"Riley borrowed it to hang up her lights." He says without looking up from his desk.
We head upstairs to Riley and Ninas room and find Harry and Nina running around the room while Riley was on a stool hanging some lights up. We went forward to ask her for the tape when due to his and Ninas game of running around for no reason Harry accidentally knocked the stool over.

Luckily me and frank were right there and I caught her just in time before she would hit the floor and break some bones.

• Riley's POV

I'm hanging up my lights and Harry and Nina are running around me when Harry accidentally knocks over the stool I'm balancing on. I close my eyes expecting to hit the ground but instead I find myself caught in some warm arms. I open my eyes and see that Liam had caught me.
" Cheers for saving my life" I speculated.
"Yeah didn't think it'd be a good idea for u to end up as a pair of bones on the floor" he said casually
I rolled my eyes as he put me down.
" anyways are you done with the tape" he asks
" yeah here" I gave it to him and they were headed out the door when I stopped them just in time and prevented them from getting squirted in the face from both sides due to Johnny and Tee's water fight.
" and cheers for stopping us from drowning" Liam grinned
