As Wan Yunque left the kitchen, she could already hear people arguing and felt quite sad for poor Song Anyue, who will have to manage them alone. Tho she will have good company with it... at thinking that she chuckled, which got Lan Sizhui's attention.

"What is funny?" he asked with an innocent rise of his eyebrows.

"Oh nothing really, just... poor A-Yu," and she chuckled again.

Sizhui made this, according to Wan Yunque, adorable expression, which signaled that he was thinking very hard about something and only when they reached the kitchen did his face light up in understanding.

"Poor young lady Song," he smiled with a little mischievous undertone to it.

"Don't call her "young lady Song", she's definitely not deserving of that," lughed Wan Yunque, "just call her Anyue, or if you wanna surprise her, call her Daiyu."

"Alright, enough chit chat," stopped them Wei Wuxian, "A-Lu will go get some water, preferably into a bowl that has been cleaned before use and Sizhui will help me clean this place, come on, we don't have a whole day."

"Make sure he doesn't start cooking anything before I come back," whispered Wan Yunque, to which Lan Sizhui dutifully nodded.

Wan Yunque had to laugh slightly at him, but not in a bad way and soon, she found an appropriate bowl.

Finding water proved to be quite the challenge, since the obvious places did not contain the needed liquid. She did find some in this thing that was probably a bath tub a long time ago, but it did not look drinkable, so she decided on using it to clean her bowl. Finally, after a few more minutes, she found a bucket with the cleanest water she's seen today and she figured it would have to do, after all, she needed to supervise Wei Wuxian's cooking, otherwise he was going to murder everyones taste buds and Wan Yunque could not have that happen. Especially since one of the people affected was her friend.

"Got it!" she called out, when she finally made her way back. She kicked the door open, since she kinda underestimated the size of her bowl and needed to hold it in two hands. When she opened the door, she was met with Lan Sizhui who looked somewhat in between: about to cry/happy/confused/scared and was sitting on the dirty floor, while Wei Wuxian was cleaning the counter and whistling some casual tune, like he didn't see Sizhui at all.

"What happened here?" raised Wan Yunque her eyes, as she set the bowl aside and went to pick up Lan Sizhui who seemed to be paralyzed on the spot.

"N-nothing," he stuttered, when he finally seemed to have snapped out of it.
Wan Yunque once again raised her brow, not believing the Lan one bit, but she decided to let it go for now, since there was a more important matter at hand.

"What am I making?" she insisted asked her master.

"Congee," replied Wei Wuxian with a sigh, that indicated that he gave up on doing it himself. Honestly, I don't cook that bad, he thought, as Wan Yunque shooed him away with a serious expression. She put in a little bit of salt and a few other spices, the whole thing will most likely be very tasteless, but Wan Yunque did not want to accidentally use something that would poison them a second time, so she stuck to plain and Lan-like, despite having Wei Wuxian constantly reminding her to add something more tasty into it.

"By the way," she turned to the man, right as she finished preparing the meal and put it to cook under a closed lid (?), "what did do to tell Sizhui, he's been awfully quiet... and not in his usual way."

"I didn't do anything to him," shrugged Wei Wuxian, as if Sizhui wasn't on the other side of the room desperately trying to make himself invisible, or something...? It was honestly hard to guess.
