They chased each other throughout the whole Cloud recesses and ended up somewhere on the mountain, the demonic cultivators completely exhausted, Fox smirking and the Lans just looking around.
Wan Yunque and Song Anyue were currently hiding on top of a tree, breathing as silent as they could, after using up probably all the stamina they had and the Lans were looking for them. Both girls thought that the two must know exactly where they are, since they weren't hard to find and altho they tried their breathing was still too loud.
When the two under the tree seemed to be looking for them for about 10 mins, Song Anyue started doubting their intelligence.

"With all due respect, if they don't find us soon, I'm going to yell at them," whispered Song Anyue.
"Same, are they stupid or is this on purpose?" nodded Wan Yunque.

"The hell is taking you so long!" yelled irritated Song Anyue soon after.
Both Lans jumped in surprise at the sudden voice, but thankfully they didn't seem too surprised to find out where the troublemakers were hidden.

"I thought not finding you is the point!" shouted Lan Jingyi back.
"Well yeah, but we didn't hide too well and where's the fun in you not finding us?" replied Wan Yunque.
"You should come down the tree, or you'll fall and I do not want to have to carry you back," changed Lan Jingyi the topic.
"No way! You'll catch us that way," pouted Song Anyue.
"I can do that either way," shrugged Lan Jingyi and almost absentmindedly rested his hand on the top of his sword.
"Oh! You'll do the flying sword thingy!" laughed Fox, who was silent up until now, because, well... he fell asleep.

"We'll be forced to do so, if you don't come down. We don't want you getting hurt," smiled Lan Sizhui very sweetly at them and Wan Yunque thought that she could jump down the tree this second, which was a thought that could have been the result of the said gorgeous smile, or the fact that Wan Yunque was actually quite afraid of heights. And the fear started blooming inside her, now that she was looking below.

"Um... well you're probably gonna have to get us, or at least me" told him Wan Yunque, after looking around a bit, "I'm afraid of heights..."
"Why do you climb a tree if you're scared of heights?" puffed Lan Jingyi his chew cheeks out and Song Anyue thought it looked really cute, than she smacked herself for thinking that way and half of the people present were suddenly looking at her weirdly for it.

"Because it's fun!" shouted Wan Yunque, as they decided to ignore Song Anyue's randomness.
Than the silence began.

"Um... well this is getting awkward," said Song Anyue about 5 minutes later.
"Well, we'll have to stay here until you three decide to climb down the tree," told her Lan Jingyi, "so..."

"Ugh! I'll get down any time if someone helps me!" exclaimed Wan Yunque and threw her hands out in annoyance, which she immediately regretted, because she almost lost her balance and now she was holing onto the tree as if her life depended on it. Which it probably partially did...

"I'll help," smiled Lan Sizhui in the typical way, only he can muster and Wan Yunque's heart gave a little flutter to that. He used his sword to fly up and than flew the two of them down.

"Thanks," she told him, once they were down, on solid ground for once, her cheeks flushing slightly pink.
"Don't mention it," he said, as he was putting his sword back in its sheath.
"Oh I will, really, thank you for that. I honestly miss flying on swords, that was fun," she replied and the two fell into comfortable chatter.
"You used to fly on swords?" asked Lan Sizhui, interested.
"Oh yes, I used to cultivate the "regular" way, I guess you could say, but well... let's just say I had to stop," answered Wan Yunque.

Soon they were accompanied by Fox who decided that Song Anyue will have to talk to her crush alone, so that he can tease her about it later. And also ask for every singe detail, after all he has some fan-fiction of his own to write.
