Ruby Rose laid under a car in blasted heat, along with noises of bolts tightening, and drill sounds filling a shop with garage doors opened to let the hot are out. Her hands were covered with oil as she was changing oil for a car awhile ago but didn't have have enough time to wash it off.

She felt a kick on her side startling her. She shimmied out from under the car looking up at her sister Yang. Her usual long wavy blonde hair falling down to her waist was put into a long ponytail. Her lilac eyes falling down onto her younger sister.

"You should really use those moving board things." Yang yelled over the noise.

Ruby sat up wiping the grime and oil off her hands with a oil covered cloth she's used multiple times. "Creepers." Ruby corrected her. "And this car has so many problems it's crazy how it functions still." She used her thumb to point at the car she was working on.

"I'm still calling them rolling things." She rolled her eyes playfully.

Ruby stood up combing her hair back with her hand. Her short black hair with red tips moved out of her view and she stood up using the car for help.

"So what's up?" Ruby asked putting her hands in her pocket.

"How'd the date go with Octavia?" Yang smirked resting her hand on her hip with her weight laying on one leg.

"You know..." Ruby leaned onto the car crossing her arms looking away. "We went to a restaurant, watched a movie, went on a walk through the park, then I dropped her off."

Yang gave Ruby a dead plane look. "She canceled it didn't she?"

Ruby rubbed the back of her neck nodding before she spoke. "Yeah." She sighed in defeat.

"When I see her I swear I'm going to make her regret it." Yang snarled.

"Please don't! Maybe relationships just aren't my thing." Ruby said.

"Don't say that Ruby." Yang laid her hand on Ruby's shoulder in a comfort manner.

Ruby smiled lightly. "Thanks Yang but I think you should stop setting me up with random people."

"Not my fault you won't just go out and find someone." Yang said, her hands falling to her side.

"I'm just busy." Ruby said. "Wait, aren't you supposed to be working?"

"It's my break and I wanted to see my little sister." She smiled.

Ruby rolled her eyes and motioned for Yang to follow her to a quieter area. They both sat down outside with the noises being a bit more distant.

"I want to show you something." Yang smiled pulling out her phone.

"Please not a dating-"

"It's an app called Grimm, it's a dating app and have extremely high good reviews. You can literally talk to someone across the world!" Yang said turning their phone to show Ruby the App Store with an image of a female and male symbol. The female symbol overlapping the males as the male symbol pointed down.

"Yang.. no." Ruby said.

"Come on! Last one and if you don't find one from this I'll stop." Yang said.

Ruby sighed. She knew Yang was just doing this to help her find someone to spend time with when everyone was busy or at least feel less lonely since Yang moved in with Blake, her  girlfriend.

She took out her phone and searched it and tapped the download button and showed Yang.
"There."

"If you don't find happiness then at least you'll make new friends." Yang smiled softly.

"Yeah true, but I think most would rather, you know." Ruby raised her eyebrows up at the end of her sentence.

"At least you know they're trash." Yang said.

"True." Ruby said. "It's downloaded."

"Create an account!" Yang eagerly said.

Ruby clicked on the app and clicked "Create a account". She glanced up at Yang to make sure then looked back at it.

First name: Ruby
Last name: Rose
Sex: Female
Date of birth: 10/30/35
Preferred gender: Both
Location (optional): Vale

Age limit: 20-30
Bio: type...

"What do I put for my bio?" Ruby looked up to Yang for help.

"Here give it me." Yang reached her hand out. Ruby glanced at it then back at her phone.

"What don't trust me?" Yang smirked.

"I don't." Ruby said but proceeded to hand Yang her phone. She stared as Yang typed, stopping when she had to think. Ruby sat quietly and looked around.

"Aaaand done." Yang smiled. She handed the phone back and Ruby took it seeing a picture of a guy with blonde hair.

Yang moved to sit next to her, leaning over to look at her screen. Ruby clicked on it reading his bio and swiping through his pictures. He was cute but not Ruby's type. She swiped anyways in hopes to be friends with him at least.

"It's a Match!" The message said.

"Hey, I see we have a few in common and you look pretty cool to hang with." Ruby typed then sent it.

"Damn, friend-zoning him before even speaking." Yang said.

"Well it can't hurt to make friends as you said." Ruby smiled.

More swipes and messages later Ruby got bored and put her phone away as the noises got quiet.

"Alright I gotta finish that car now, everyone is taking a break also so I should get busy." Ruby stood up stretching her back.

"Wait it's your lunch break?" Yang asked standing up.

Ruby nodded. "Dang, sorry Ruby and see ya, I forgot I have work still! Also try." Yang gave her a soft look at the end of her sentence before waving away.

"I will and see ya." Ruby replied and walked back inside to the now almost quiet building. She sighed as she sat down on the floor next to the car she was working on before Yang interrupted her work.

"Welp." Ruby clapped her hands together. "Back to work." Ruby told herself before shimming herself back under the car to continue working.
