It's been a few days since the incident with the attack and Ruby is supposed to be coming to Atlas to see Penny. Weiss on the other hand took a day off specifically for this. Why? She herself didn't know. Maybe to release all the stress or to finally meet Ruby she couldn't really decipher it no matter how hard she tried though, it made no sense.
Weiss sat on the opposite side of her car, away from the docking stations entrance, that was driven by a chauffeur. Her head rested on her palm as she stared outside watching cars from time to time go by.
She reminisced about their conversation a few days ago. Ruby did want her to come along, at least that's what she took from it. It was loud and clear on the meaning nor was Ruby as shy to push forward into their relationship as she drew back when she caught herself welcoming it.
Her leg started to bounce rapidly as she awaited the text from Ruby. She thought of how that meeting would go; maybe she would get out the car and meet Ruby when she just got off, wait next to the car as she approached, or stay in the car and wait for her to enter. But what after? What would occur after the moment they see each other? What if this was all a mistake and she shouldn't have- her thoughts were interrupted by her phone going off.
Ruby: I'm here :)
Weiss: Black car, on the right and don't worry we're the only black car on the right. I'll have my chauffeur stand out.
Weiss told her to get out and they did. Weiss stared in the direction everyone who was on board was leaving off of.
Weiss saw who she assumed was Ruby looking around before she lit up, the nervousness vanishing, and walked to her driver to ask if this was the right car.
Ruby approached the door and Weiss instantly looked away, anxiety swelling up in her chest and stomach.
The door shut and quiet filled it till the driver hoped in.
"Where too?" She asked.
"T-to Atlas Hospital." Ruby spoke unsurely. Weiss bit the inside of her cheek to not smile.
The car started up. "Weiss?" Ruby finally spoke to her.
Weiss forced her facial expressions to drop and she soon wasn't nervous anymore, it all vanished like she blocked it out. She turned to look at Ruby. Ruby was wearing a black beanie with a long sleeve shirt and jeans.
"Yeah?" Weiss responded.
Ruby's nose was a light shade of pink because of the cold, she even looked tired. "You actually came?"
"Well you did ask." Weiss crossed her legs.
"I did but I wasn't expecting you to actually come I guess." Ruby chuckled rubbing the back of her neck.
"Well I did." Weiss said rather harshly then she meant to.
Ruby looked to the side, she started to pull on each finger cracking them then attempting to crack her knuckles but failed. She stared out of the mirror as her legs bounced. It was quite a white place, snow everywhere and definitely more humans in Vale but that wasn't much surprise.
Weiss stared at the bouncing leg and up at Ruby, she pushed it off and copied Ruby. This was not going at all how she thought it'll turn out. Maybe it was for the best they just kept it over the phone.
Weiss looked at Ruby again, her head now rested on the palm of her hand as she looked blankly outside. Weiss bit her lip in thought as what to say.
Her mouth opened then closed and she tried over and over, the words not escaping her mouth yet she kept saying it in her head. She even felt a bit parch but that was probably because she felt the need to do something to distract herself.
